wanted to say how much I love this one-shot, it's very lyrical and absolutely true to Brandon sweet and sad. Really perfect. You're quite talented and I hope you write more fanfics for this and other Jane Austen fics as well (Going to read your P&P one today.)

Aaawwww! So good! I adore this! So sweet!
| Anon chapter 1 . 11/30/2011
This is a lovely piece. Our modern sensibilities tend to be ruffled at the thought of a man twice the age of a 17-year old being interested in her. In fact, the conventional wisdom would be to keep that guy away from her.
I think even when JA wrote Sense and Sensibility, it might have been an edgy move to pair Marianne with the colonel. At first, she laughs at him and calls him old. But his devotion is pure and his love unconditional. A beautiful thing, whereever you find it.
Let dirty minds make it creepy. It becomes a commentary on the beholder rather than that which is beheld.
