The ramen lecture was priceless. I really like your portrayal of female naruto. It made sense, and I really liked the freckles. But mostly it just made sense. All in all, nice oneshot!

| yumeniai chapter 1 . 3/25/2013
This is ADORABLE. Boromir being a sexist dick indeed :D. And haha, just imagining what Naruto's next line would be - "Sure I'll marry you! Say what, you want me to stay where? No way, I'm still gonna become Hokage! So what if we're continents apart?"
And yup, Boromir would so fall for a tomboy if he had survived :D. (Though ... doesn't Naruto think it's creepy at all that Boromir is old enough to be her father? Actually probably the same age as her father? That wouldn't be unusual in the middle-age-esque Middle Earth, but back in Konoha ...)
Anyway, I adored this because it was just so adorable! And Boromir getting all flustered and confused is hilarious :D.

| JuMiKu chapter 1 . 11/30/2011
I loved it up to the very moment they decided to marry anyway. Seriously, this was one of the very, very few stories that actually considered the differences in culture in a crossover romance and in this case the role of females in particular. It was a beautiful learning process, which should have shown him that this CANNOT go well. She has dreams and ambitions that are not compatible with the sort of life Boromir envisions. Furthermore, Naruto is not a free person. As a ninja, especially one of her caliber, it is highly unlikely she is even allowed to just marry anyone and stay there. So in the best-case scenario Boromir will have to give up everything in Middle Earth and completely reshape his life! Then again that's what he gets. Everybody warned him after all.
| GeminiSpark96 chapter 1 . 11/26/2011
This was an amazing story! I love how you made Naruto punch Boromir, though i kind of saw it coming. x3 Though the female narutos name is technically supposed to be Naruko instead of Naruto. You know what would be a good sequal to this is if you have Boromir visit the Hidden leaf village! That would be great having all the girls beat the crap out of him. X) Any way great story.
| Piratefish chapter 1 . 11/26/2011
I read the description and snorted. That can't possibly work.
It's not the best fic I've read, not much really happens, no surprises, but it's well written, funny, and original as anything I've seen. Keep it up!
| Guest chapter 1 . 11/25/2011
The idea of Naruto in LotR is interesting, as well as the idea of Naruto always having been a girl. I would have liked to see some action scenes though, battles that the Naruto characters took part in and what they did, their exploration of some of the unique places in that world. How the LotR crew reacted to summoning jutsu would be fun to read. I didn't think there was enough interaction (shown) between them for Naruto's deision at the end.
So, if this is a one-shot then its kind of dry and bare as-is.. needs fleshing-out, more depth and details. But I don't want to come off as discouraging... I did enjoy reading it and like the idea, I just see it as having a lot of potential for more. Either as the outline for a one-shot story you could build up, or as a prologue - with the real meat of the story to come after Naruto's accepting of the proposal, in later chapters.
| HarbingerLady chapter 1 . 11/25/2011
it's good that this is a one-shot, if not, you'll have headache writing the complexity of a marriage between two people from two different cultures, each of them stubborn, have their own duties and dreams, etc. Their marriage certainly won't be an easy one.
Long distance marriage...can it actually work? If both of them stay together...which place would they prefer to live on? Naruto likes ramen too much and her dream to be Hokage can't be realized in Middle earth, not to mention as a jinchuuriki, certain parties of her village won't let her go.
And if Boromir follows her to Konoha, will his pride as the steward's son and duty to protect Gondor allow him to follow Naruto? And if he decides that being with Naruto is more important, will he resent Naruto after not being able to adapt to a culture that's very different to his? In Konoha, he will feel much weaker than other men. And Boromir is a proud man. I don't think he'd like being weaker than others. And he can't exactly remedy this problem by a swing of his sword.
But again, thank goodness it's a one-shot that ends with Naruto's acceptance of his proposal, the readers can imagine what happens afterward on their own :D
