Oh my gosh this story is super awesome! I love all the characters, especially Sutton. You picked the coolest names ever too! And I like how you throw in random latin stuff like munera and gladius and the gold crown thing. I'm in first year latin right now and I'm thinking about showing this story to my teacher. Keep it up :)

Camille, this is a great beginning! You have a real ability to describe/show without overtelling, and you've got an ear for dialogue. You also use language economically-little here that I would say is unnecessary.

I love how you introduce a lot of background organically in this scene, without very long passages of description.

I'm intrigued by the story and want to keep reading!

I have to admit... this is one of your best stories yet. When I got to the end of the chapter, my brain just screamed, "MORE!" It's a very interesting story, and I hope you continue it.
