Wow, pretty hardcore Tilly, but apt for the Battle Story universe. I don't think any of your drabbles have had this much of a focus on battle before. Still, I enjoyed it quite a bit.

As always your drabbles give good insights into the less-indulged facets of the Battle Story. The first-person style with the sort of stream-of-consciousness vibe also makes the reading experience a little more interesting - sorta like China Mieville, actually. That little tidbit about Central Continent naturalists was a nice touch too.

Overall, pretty enjoyable short, and there's not much you could improve on.
