It’s that time of year again. I love this story!

Rereading this for maybe the fourth time. It is simply too good, too romantic to leave unread. Somehow it always reminds me how much I love my wife.

So beautiful. The handmade calendar, the way they got closer and closer, how Castle knows her so deeply...Wow. Obviously, I cheated here and devoured the Advent calendar in a couple of days, but yeah, I couldn't stop. I'm definitely bad at self-restraint when it comes to Castle fanfic.

I recognized a couple of songs, but I'll definitely check out the playlist when I have time. The little (or not-so-little) gifts were perfect, as well as Kate's reactions to them. Can I have a Castle to order, perhaps? Because this man is so perfect in his imperfection.

Ready to start one of my favorite advent traditions. Thanks for this piece I revisit year after year

I love everything about advent. At our house we snap an ornament every day on the felt Christmas tree, we open the advent calendar and do the day’s random act of Christmas kindness, we eat our pieces of chocolate from our advent calendars, we pick a Christmas book out of the reindeer bag to read at bedtime. And then, once all of the kids are asleep, I do one thing for myself. I read this story. Thanks for writing this beautiful story that has become one of my favorite traditions.

I am slowly working through the site, attempting to read some of the fics from my fave authors. This happened to be one of them. ;)

The characterizations are spot-on, especially given the timeframe of when this was written. It captures the hope they both have for a future beautifully, and I can see them waiting for the "right" time. Bravo.
