| excessivelyperky chapter 21 . 1/28/2014
Yup, I figured it was Albus from the very beginning-surprised Snape didn't recognize his voice. I mean, it's not like Father Christmas ever came when Severus really was a child, after all.

Ha! What a lovely surprise, though I must admit that I am a little surprised that Snape allowed himself to behave in a way that made Albus suspicious in the first place. All he would have to do would be to ask Minerva to delay him down in the hallway-she would have been glad to do it.

Oh, how sad...especially knowing that nothing Snape can do will save the Headmaster (or himself, when Albus decides to use his upcoming death to ruin what little is left of the Potion Master's life).
Severus gave so much, and was given so little, and that poisoned.
| excessivelyperky chapter 18 . 1/8/2014
Why couldn't Snape be checking for student pranks and doing a present count at the same time? Slytherins always multitask! I'm just surprised he got caught...
| excessivelyperky chapter 17 . 1/4/2014
Given the kind of weather Hogwarts is likely to get this time of year 'in the Bleak Midwinter' would seem rather appropriate; and trying to force gaiety from someone is likely to have the opposite effect. But alas, Albus never seems to figure it out...
| excessivelyperky chapter 16 . 1/4/2014
Yes, it's always hilarious to humiliate and attack Snape, isn't it?

Martha Stewart and Albus-BAD combination!
And redecorating without permission, I'd think real hard about how nice a cell at Azkaban would be in comparison.
But of course Albus can push Snape all over the place without any real consequences, he did it enough in canon.
| excessivelyperky chapter 14 . 12/25/2013
This was a cute chapter. All Snape has to do is to look for something in loud, Dayglo colors, and it's pretty clear it'll be a hit. He might try socks...

Lovely tree-decorating vignette. But I don't see what piece of Snape is up on the tree-it's all Albus, every single ornament is his or looks like him.
But then, Snape was never meant to be remembered, I suppose.
I'm glad he had fun, though.

Oh, I love the future shown in the last part of the story. If only Albus had watched over Snape, and the future shown had actually come true.

Yes, no one ever thought Severus worth saving.
He was much more useful saved for later. Albus thinks long term...though he did make an earlier mistake telling Snape what he really thought of him; Severus probably remembers that part.
Sadly, Snape might have survived Azkaban...
Though we all know that Crouch Sr. managed to lower his standards when it came to a *real* murdering Death Eater, alas.
| excessivelyperky chapter 9 . 12/20/2013
But Severus *did* tell Albus who hexed and nearly tried to murder him later on. It's not his fault that Dumbledore didn't like the answer...
| excessivelyperky chapter 8 . 12/11/2013
Yeah, Snape will get to prove his bravery, all right-getting hated by everyone so Albus can look better. Funny how that works...
| excessivelyperky chapter 7 . 12/6/2013
"I'll never abandon you, Severus."
Wish that was true.
