Interesting characterization.

I just had a gigantic mind-frick moment, when I was looking through my favorite stories and found your discontinued Beneath The Mask, and then your account, and realized you were also the writer of this story. I thought that was pretty amazing, seeing as how there's only about 10 Andrea x Daryl fanfictions, and I didn't even realize that one of my favorite authors had written one of them. Ha!
But anyway, great story, great writing, great life, great everything.

I love the comparison between the two lives that Andrea could have had. I have no doubt that your version of events with Shane would have come to fruition because Shane lost himself quite rapidly when the world ended and Andrea would have been doomed. The contrast between the two was also stark regarding the pregnancies that she experiences. Being pregnant alone and with Shane, struggling for survival, - vastly different to the second option. Absolutely loved this.

Wow, I really love how you portray Daryl and Andrea. I hope the writers and producers will give this pairing a chance. This is just heartwarming and sweet...

I can see it happening in a split second. As Andrea silently imaginies a decision that maybe isn't even real, just a possibility. And all of this passes through her mind.

So sad the way Shane spiralled down. In canon and in your story.

And so much potential for hope and furture and growth with Daryl!

I love this. All of it. I love the contrast between the two situations, how dark Shane's section is and how hopeful Daryl's is. The irony was also well done: the fact that while Shane's is about surviving, she is actually sacrificed, and while Daryl's is only hopeful it seems much more concrete in its safety. And really, just the way you described both the men was to a T.

So, i found this story after you left a ridiculously wonderful comment on Separation Anxiety. I had never seen this story so I was wicked excited to find it and ... wow.

I don't usually get too emotional when I read fic but this one made me tear up something fierce. The events you describe on both sides are stunning, just gorgeous. Shane's part was so tragic, so painful and hopeless. It really struck me and was so well done I was in awe.

Then Daryl's part was so beautiful and promising; the ending was just perfect, so opposite Andrea's life with Shane. The parallels are so incredibly written; I love that she ends up pregnant in both scenarios and it evoked so much emotion to read the way in which each story progressed.

I just adored this. It was absolutely beautiful and I know I will be coming back to read it over and over.
