i dont even know anything about this fandom but this fic GRIPPED ME like i was live texting my friend thing slike "wtf! WTF!? THESE POOR KIDS" author you are AMAZING i got CHILLS i didnt even know omacs was like a real thing... let these poor children rest. nobody give them another mission for three years.

no matter how many years pass, i love coming back to this fic and others of yours to reread. the writing is superb, the build-up amazing, and i cant emphasize enough how long this gets stuck in my head, just turning the words over and over like a worry stone. thank you for posting it and keeping it up.

Ok. So. I need to take a deep breath because holy fuck, this fic is amazing.

First of all! I love the bond between Wally, Dick and Roy! Like, these kiddos are so fucking precious and all their interactions were just. Top notch.

Second, the whole survival thing? Really suspenseful, and I loved following every moment of it. All of Wally's emotions as he was trying to find the others were really potent.

Third! That climax tho! Freaking intense with all of the obstacles Dick had to go through inside the computer coupled with the timer that was the Justice League's arrival. So freaking good I could not stop reading, even if a deadline of my own was coming up lol

And gah omg. The ending is so cute and it just melted my heart and made it into mush

I'm really not on this site any more, but I keep coming back to this story and absolutely adoring it! You have such a way with writing these kids in realistically competent ways but still very obviously young, and your plots are always airtight!

I would've liked to see more reactions from people when wally and dick and Roy saved everyone

I think that i re-read this everytime i fall back into the dc fandom and everytime its better than i remember and just as engaging and I end up binging it. Also the insanity of having a 50k oneshot is power that i cant imagine. anyway, i love this fic and im probably gonna read it again in 8 months - a year and a half. fantastic work

What a masterpiece. I've returned to your story many times in the past few years but have failed to review it. I am so sorry for my oversight. I want to say that you are a lyrical and evocative storyteller. I love how you unravel what it means to live a life worth living. I think I am most in love with your demonstration of Dick, Roy and Wally's bond. Your story carefully humanizes them but even so, you never let go of their hero image, crafting them as their typical untouchable and larger-than-life selves. What really stands out to me is Roy's new rule: "between us or the world, always the world new rule", Wally's, "aren't you tired" to Rob, and Rob's experience of being hunted and completely alone and Rob's bearing the decision to give up his life to save everyone else's. I love how Roy, Wally and Rob keep pulling each other back to reality and away from a consuming heroism and wish to save everyone. Thanks for all the effort you put into this. It's something I fall back on when I want to escape reality, and I am so appreciative.

Ok first of all I can pretty safely say that this has been one of the best fanfiction I have ever read. Period. Seriously I read it in one sitting and would definitely like to read it again. Secondly, can I just say that even though I am going to go check right after I write this that I sincerely hope there is a sequel regarding how those three re-integrated into their ‘normal’ life again. Thank you for writing this beautiful thing.
