Doesn’t this take place in the first week of December? This confuses me. As I do not understand why you have down that the Magic Kingdom day arrived Hot and humid. This is December, not September. Florida made not have all that much in the way of season length except for summer, but we still experience all four seasons.

I live in Florida and while currently within the last few years the temperature in December has at times be up in the high to mid 70s on the rare occasion that time of year, it is normally closer to the mid 50s and lower into the upper 40s at times. No water parks or water rides are open in the winter time here. We might be in the south, but we don’t have summer heat all year round. People go to Disney in coats, wearing scarves, gloves, and ear muffs.

I personally know people that are character actors at Disney and they have told me that the ones that are in full body costumes like Micky and Goofy and ChipDale all LOVE Winter because it’s the only time of the year that they don’t feel like they’re about to drown in sweat after fifteen seconds of walking out the door into open air. That’s because it’s the coldest part of the year. Conversely the Character actors, (the people playing the characters like Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Prince Charming, Maleficent, etc), especially the guys that play Mowgli absolutely HATES the Winter time for the same reason. It can get bloody cold some days in Kissimmee!

But really the closest you are going to get to warm is the upper 70s with cold winds. If the water rides were open, you’d be hating life afterwards because you’d be super cold. The water parks are only open if the temperatures are sustained above 85F for more than a week and projected weather shows it will continue to remain above 85F. Or at least it was the last time I had looked on the information a few years ago. Which was impossible back in the early 2000s when DWP took place. Though things are warmer now, it’s not that much warmer. Because back in the early 2000s the temperatures for December was even colder than it is now. I’m talking about mid to upper 30s up into the lower 40s being the norm. It had even been known to drop down into the 20s and upper teens in the late 1990s and very early 2000s.

Also we have a wet and a dry season too. Winter is the period of time when Florida has little rain fall and less humidity. This is the reason Florida very rarely ever has snow. It’s not because it never gets cold enough to snow in Florida, it’s because there’s not enough moisture in the air for it to snow as there’s no rain. This is why Magic Kingdom day being humid wouldn’t happen, even if it was unseasonably warm for the year. After the rainy season which includes the Hurricane season, our precipitation levels drop off and the weather gets colder with a lot less humidity. It’s why there would be cold winds versus warm, even if the the temperature was in the upper 70s.

Sometimes the victim never has the blessed relief. 49 years later I still have an occasional nightmare. But I have been there for a few who needed to hear..."It was not your fault." Hate snark fights. Fights born of fear, Insecurity, and other stupid stuff. The real reason is often hard to find, seemingly hidden behind something small the grew into a festering boil ready to pop.
Those it sometimes turns into great make up sex. Or a bit of clearing the air, and holding close to heal and make stronger.
