| Mechcat chapter 28 . 5/30/2015 Well, at a big holiday dinner, while we started eating dinner my father-in-law decided it would be a great time to have the oven self-clean. He did not mop up the big puddle of turkey juice on the bottom of the oven...and it caught fire. Fortunately, noone was hurt, and we managed to stop the alarm company from sending the fire dept. but most of us did spend the next hours on the front porch. Turns out, once you start it, you can't stop an oven self-cleaning. Who knew? Was pretty chaotic for a bit, with a small fire, confined to the oven, smoke everywhere, alarms going off, phone ringing(alarm company calling). Hilariously, as far as I'm concerned, the dinner was still way better than the previous year. We are thinking it might be about time to have it at our house, though... I never read the end of this story, so I'm trying to reread from the beginning before you pull it. Hopefully you'll wait a couple days. Good luck with the publishing, and thanks for giving us some notice! Also, now I want monkey bread! |

I think it's odd for readers to fight an excellent writer's natural progression to publishing their work. I've thought many times that published novels did not hold up to the creativity and writing skills that many fan fiction writers demonstrate. I appreciated that you tested your talents and our interest here first and cheer that you made the leap to publishing so I have more fantastic novels to read and more people have a chance to read them! Friends and my husband scoff at my praise of fan fiction writers, so it's especially great that you will have a whole new world of readers to connect to. Go get 'em, Girl! |
