| Eilonwy Cousland chapter 1 . 7/23
I've read this story a 100 times , at least. Every time, I love it more. I ship these two so hard because of you and this is amazing. I only wish there was more.
| FenZev chapter 1 . 8/7/2014
What a sad ending, after they had finally given in to each other. Loved this.
| EilonwyCousland QueenofTragedy chapter 1 . 12/28/2013
This was beautiful. I absolutely love the idea of Maric and Loghain being in love. I cried at the end. Beautifully written!
| Jileine chapter 1 . 2/29/2012
Such a beautiful and heart-wrecking story. And it is totally believable that during the years following Rowan's demise these two would develop feeligs for each other, judging from how much Loghain worships Maric's memory in the game.
| Lady Urquentha chapter 1 . 1/3/2012
Oh! This is agonizing! Beautiful, but agonizing. Absolutely lovely, and it puts a whole new spin on Maric's death in my head!
| naomis8329 chapter 1 . 12/26/2011
How sad, beautifully written and with such feeling. Especially the last few paragraphs, these had me holding my breath in the hope that Maric would be found for Loghain (if nothing else).
To out live all those you love (with the exception of your child) must be such a lonely thing to experience, no wonder Loghain becomes so morose and bitter.
Thank you for a wonderful story and for sharing it with me.
| Isabeau of Greenlea chapter 1 . 12/21/2011
You manage to encompass the decades of a loving relationship in this relatively short piece. I'm not a Loghain fan, but I can certainly sympathize with yours. The depiction of a mature, seasoned relationship with emotional depth to it is a welcome change from a lot that is posted here.
| JessicaJones chapter 1 . 12/21/2011
New review, now with less flail!
I love this so much. I love your voice for Maric, who has always been a character that intrigues me. He's a bit daft and a bit genius and so very charming.
The details are so lovely in this. I love how through the whole thing you just know Maric is about to die, and it's in the back of your mind the whole time. I love the way he and Loghain talk about how there's nothing left to accomplish, especially how Maric starts thinking too hard about their metaphor, when really he knows exactly what he wants to accomplish, I think - he wants to finally live for himself. But, sadly, we know he can't.
So many great great lines. "This is how I welcome everyone these days." "This isn't a hallway." God I love Maric, but your Loghain is wonderful too... "I think she'd do it herself." Yup, she would :P And oh, that last line is gutting.
Truly wnderful work, Cris, as always.
