Okay, it was a little weird when you had a group of Slytherins somehow obsess over the third floor corridor mystery when they don't in cannon.

It was even MORE weird when Harry, the-boy-who-always-bow-to-peer-pressure Potter go against his VERY FIRST FRIEND because he thought Draco throwing the remembrall was "mean"... He stuck by Ron though fat worse -Ron pretty much bullied Hermione, and Harry never spoke up beyond "I think she heard you"

But making them go after the Troll THAT feels like you're trying to brute-force hammer a sqare peg into a star-shaped hole! Oo

PLEASE tell me you are NOT going to follow the canon story BLINDLY!

I love the way Harry seem to ACTUALLY adopt Slytherin behavior and cave to peer pressure like any NORMAL person would, but I will be EXTREMELY dissepointed if he somehow acts like an idiot and face down Voldemort.

And I'm firmly labeling a ridiculus crack-fick lacking humor if he even TRIES to save Ginny! _

His actions are slipping towards a lack of logic only seen in bad horror movie.

I REALLY hope I'm wrong and that the story actually is awesome and logical, and this is all an elaborate plot to mislead the reader _;

This was recommended on Reddit. I needed a Harry/Draco friend-fic. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series. I expect the drama to grow significantly as the Dark Lord and company start involving themselves heavily in the plot. Will friends become enemies? Vice versa? I can't imagine Harry will take kindly to Mr. Malfoy giving Ginny Tom's diary, even if she's Ron's sister.

If I had any criticism, it would be that Harry's first year... might be a little too perfect? He gets excellent marks across the board, won the house cup, the Quidditch cup, rarely gets in trouble when he should... Granted, canon Harry got away with a lot of stuff, but it felt like there was a lack of conflict and consequence. He doesn't follow through with Hagrid's detention and nothing comes of it. Ron is his most common antagonist, but he's not threatening in any meaningful way. I don't know, I just like a protagonist to suffer a little so the victory is sweeter.

But I also know you wrote this awhile ago and I imagine that there will be more suffering in later parts. Looking forward to Year 2!

That was a perfectly good story.
You twisted the whole 1st story and I LOVED every minute, though it's the first time I've read where Prof. Mcgonagall was Venomous towards the Slytherins.
Can't wait to read the sequel.

It’s rare I’ll admit reading a story that has Harry friends with the Slytherins instead of with the Gryffindors.
Though it’s nice to see the world from the Slytherin point of view which has never been seen.
The fact that Weasley was friendly with Harry before the train and now he’s downright venomous towards Harry now that he is Slytherin.
So far, Harry’s first year is looking good so far.

My personal opinion of your take is quite controversial. I do not think that yours is bad, in fact, I believe that you wrote it beautifully, much better than JK Rowling herself. I say this because for my review, I’d say that your fanfiction is essentially the original text, however you’ve written Draco as a better character this time around.

That’s my controversy, I believe that in the original, you could cut Draco out and nothing would change. However, you’ve now given him something he was deprived of, actual presence in the story.

Love your story! I read the first version long ago, and still like it, but I'm glad you rewrote it, though very sorry unobservant people were so nasty about it's being written pre-finale.

They way the author is forcing the major events of book 1 to stay the same despite the major deviation that makes up the story's premise (Slytherin Harry), is getting increasingly annoying. The duel was bad enough. Like, there weren't *any* other ways for Harry to discover Fluffy (as if he even has to) than to make Harry and Draco out to be bumbling idiots as they fun from Flitch?

Now they're making Theo a fucking lunatic Griffindor that for some reason *has* to go challenge a troll despite there being zero reason to do so. Like, out of nowhere he becomes an adrenaline junky with no higher thinking in pure opposition to his entire characterization to this point. All so Harry can go through the Troll scene. Which the whole point was to cement Harry, Ron and Hermoine's friendship - a point which literally has no place in this story.
