| Modular Blues chapter 1 . 3/14/2012
Wow, you have a knack for compelling character portraiture. If I were writing an angst fic, I might incorporate an inanimate object as a representation of... something. Like the spinning top in Inception perhaps. But yes, I can't get over that scene...
| SH Fan chapter 1 . 1/23/2012
This is just so...
John... poor john...
Then John's reaction...
And the hug... oh god the hug...
I JUST CAN'T
I'VE LOST THE ABILITY TO CAN TT_TT
| Numbuh 00 chapter 1 . 1/17/2012
This is beautful. ;_;
| 3011892 chapter 1 . 1/17/2012
You remark that your fanfiction is "amateur". I read all of them, and I must say that, (especially this last one) are quite believable, and that is something a lot of people can't flaunt when they write fanfiction.
It always bothered me when people take praise to the point where it becomes ludicrous - "Your writing trumps that of both ACD and Moffat/Gottis! You deserve a Pulitzer!" or something of the sort - so I hope it isn't offensive when I say your writing is better than average, which, given how many people write fanfiction, is admirable.
Now to the actual critique. More praise than critique, so I hope you don't mind.
Assuming Sherlock and Watson were a couple, I'd say all of what you have written is plausible to have happened. We, as readers, have to give you some room... for error, so to speak, because, well, this is fanfiction. It's a given that fanfiction isn't canon and therefore can't always match up with the canon.
Both John's and Sherlock's mannerisms are translated quite well. There is no "oh Johnny dearest let's make love until the end of eternity", because that would sound completely preposterous in the context of the Sherlock fandom.
The part I loved most about this story in particular is that it didn't end in a kiss. It'd be perfectly normal to have it end with them kissing. But that's it, that's what bothers me about such writing - it would be perfectly normal. Normal, banal, expected, cliche, awfully boring and tedious to read.
I wish there had been a part where John analyzed what he saw - how Sherlock looked, but I suppose you can get away with not doing that because John was shocked and might not have tried to analyze his friend's appearance.
I hope this helped, I'll be the first to admit that I suck at constructive criticism. I either love it or hate it, and, evidently, I happened to love it.

Short and sweet and lovely. So sad but beautiful ending. Can this happen in canon please?
| LouphiaTheHobbit chapter 1 . 1/4/2012

| lottielovebuzz chapter 1 . 12/23/2011
I loved the blog posts from John, how you captured his different feelings as time went on. Then it ended in a nice reunion. I'm telling you, Reichenbach will kill me, and Moffat better not have been serious when he said, 'we might not bring him back'...only 9 days!
| Sherlock-in-the-TARDIS chapter 1 . 12/22/2011
Beautiful, slightly depressing. But never take my word for how angsty things are...Beautiful, simply beautiful
| Maplefrost chapter 1 . 12/22/2011
Nooo. Reichenbach fics make me so saaad. But this is wonderful! And it has a happy ending! :D I love the blog posts from John.
| braceface freak chapter 1 . 12/22/2011
Thank you for that. Angsty goodness is always good, but especially when it ends in a nice reunion. Reichenbach is going to kill me if something like this doesn't happen.
