I loved this story! It was so bittersweet and lovely. My favorite parts were the descriptions of the ornaments, since we all hang on to the things that mean the most to us.

I really enjoyed this! It was amazing, "O Holy Night" is one of my favorite Chirstmas songs! I also liked the flow of the piece, the end (though a cliche line) fit well. Thank you for putting me into a good festive mood!

Gurl! Srsly. That was fucking gorgeous! You are truly amazing. I'm in love with this and I'm going to read it again and again! I'm going to add it to today's advent post not blog too! Thank you, baby! You're such a blessing : )

I loved the ornament stories that they shared, especially Belsnickel and Jack's question about what happens to naughty children. (Although admittedly, I misread "Pelz-Nicholas" as Pez-Nicholas at first and I wondered 'a pez dispense with fur?')
The dynamics of their relationship is nicely shown here, as is their understanding of each other.
I would love to hear both of them sing.
Cheers and thanks so much for sharing!

I like Reids method of getting Hotch to open up. This piece definately ended on a hopeful note.
