Please continue and don't ever quiet because this story is awesome, it has happines but still it has suspense (I hope it's the right word) what's with starswirl, evil guy is stronger and is looking for them, celestia is in danger, and more.

Just one thing please include the other elements a little bit, because spike would be devasted that twilight suddenly left, but we see nothing of it. You can maybe include them lator on by making ner need all the elements.

And please continue because this is a realy inrestimg story, and if you don't have motivstion think of all the readers that don't comment. And there is nothing I hate more than unfinished storys, even if its a long wait at least update it. (growing pains updates only every 1-2 months but it's still thee mowst awheshome stowry ever, you should read it! maybe it will give you ideas

Motivation... oh boy I'm doomed.

To be honest I think you've strayed too far from the core story. Okay this sounds arrogant but until the very end of chapter 6, everyone liking this story had to like it either for that new magic, the "second path", with its esoteric and dangerous natures, its secrets and riddles, or for the Twilight and Trixie relationship.

To me the core story is that "second path" (...), either the book or the magic itself. And by chapter 7 I felt - pun intended in a serious way - the magic was lost.

Why do I say that? Well apart from "universal alteration" - which isn't even mentioned in chapter 10 - what is still esoteric, dangerous or secret about the "second path"? Twilight doesn't even try to solve Starswirl's riddle. Enchiridion is now a familiar character, never questioned. All shown characters use that magic routinely.

But there is so, so, so much to exploit here! The total control those books exercise on the wielders, the obvious influence it had on Rapacity - even before the flashback - the very nature of the second path, its seclusive access - look I could rant for days, there is a potential that your story is throwing out the window right now!

So if it's not the core story well I'll feel bad, but otherwise you need to put it back on track - use Celestia (or Luna) if need be - and focus every of your efforts in renewing the spark of your first chapter.

Which reminds me, Twilight is a poor linguist if she thinks Latin is more complex than English.

Good chapter! I would like to see where this goes, the visit and whatnot. Maybe Rapacity doesn't show up, because of the barmaid? And Celestial and Twilight are able to talk? I dunno, just throwing ideas out there :P

I can't say there is anything bad about this story in fact I look forward to more chapters coming in. Don't quit till the job is done and you're good in my books.
