Ah, this is fascinating. I had imagined Trip on some planet with his alien daughter a la Prospero and Miranda, but this is more Trek-like. Can't imagine he'll be very open to another alien babe after this, though, so T'Pol has her work cut out for her. This makes me fear we'll have a sad ending, but I'm definitely along for the ride. You have definitely taken over the mantle of Queen of the AU from the much-missed Escriba!

As always with your stories, it's an intriguing start. I'm guessing that this heralds the outbreak of war with the Romulans. At the moment we seem to be some way away from Unexpected so I'm looking forward to following your story from here to there.
