Ok now it makes absolutely no sense why she was with Jake.. It would have worked the same without her agreeing go on dates with is insecure, he would have figured she'd want jake, see? The same.

He's a virgin, why can't their moment be special and not some spur of the moment bs... It's always like this when the dude is the virgin...

When the girl is the virgin, it's made a vocal point of the story and it's worked up too. But when the dude is, it's hardly ever mentioned, when it is, it's mostly to joke about

She weights like a buck 25, if he can't carry her even before he started working out, he wasn't a man.

And really, if she was interested in Edward, why did she start seeing Jacob. that makes no sense.
