![]() ![]() ![]() Loved it! :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() Another beautiful scene. How I wish it could have been on our tv screen. Lovely ! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Aw, that was so lovely, I really enjoyed that! I would say more, but there's no criticism or anything i have to give... :D |
![]() ![]() ![]() Beautiful story! I'm finding the weight rather difficult as well. More chapters would be nice. Keep up the good work! |
![]() ![]() ![]() That was beautiful! I don't suppose you could be persuaded to add more parts to it? I know it was only a one shot but I really enjoyed it! |
![]() ![]() ![]() D'awwwwww! You captured Mary & Matthew so well, I thought! Their slight awkwardnessness around each other was so adorable. I really loved it! |
![]() ![]() ![]() GAH! Such sweet fluffiness. I loved it, especially in contrast to 'Of course its the end...'. The prompts were worked into your story so very effortlessly and they combined perfectly, I'm sure it wasn't as easy as it appears but then everything you write just flows so smoothly from the page. A bow to your greatness! |
![]() ![]() *happy* this was so amazingly adorable and romantic and I love the fact that they are still a little shy because they are so not used to kissing each other so freely!:) I'm just so so so happy for them!) after all those years of yearning and misery they can finally really have a future!:) and I think they would be very good parents, they just need to realise it themselves:D but first they can be a very good aunt and uncle, so cute! aww I needed more Mary/Matthew romance after the amazing Christmas special and this was such a delight to read so thank you!:) |
![]() ![]() ![]() I really love that you brought up that time of her taking care of him in the hospital back up, as I can definitely see Isobel remarking to Matthew about how she realized how much Mary loved him when she saw how Mary was taking care of him during his injury. Matthew was in a bad place back then, and couldn't realize it, so it's lovely that he can thank her for it now. Also, them reassuring each other that they'd each be good parents. Them wanting a family together and being able to finally give their imaginations free rein and imagine this future together...it's so beautiful, their happiness, and you really capture their exuberance and utter joy. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Okay, so I spent the entirety of the time I read and re-read this fic with my heart in a bubble of pink fluffy goo... SO MUCH SQUEE! D |
![]() ![]() ![]() brilliant story as always! loving the fluff at the moment! its a brilliant escapism again! Thanking you for sharing your work Sophie xxxxxxxxxxxxxx |
![]() ![]() ![]() Wow, this fills me with the warm fuzzies. The idea of Matthew walking up in the snow and having a cheery exchange with Carson is so adorable, I think you struck the right balance with how personal Carson is likely to get with Matthew. Matthew acknowledging Mary's nursing is obviously a big bone of contention for a lot of fans, and I think you handled it extremely well. It was all very well executed and now the image of baby Crawleys will dance in my head (NEXT CHRISTMAS SPECIAL.) |
![]() ![]() ![]() i love that mary couldn't stop smiling at breakfast :) she's usually so in control and the fact that being engaged to matthew makes her so happy SIGH :) great job! |
![]() ![]() ![]() You guys are killing me! How wonderful. Oh to wait until fall. And could JF manage to write this happy and fluffy? I hope to God so. But I do love this and I'm sure Mary was beaming at the breakfast table that morning if she wasn't doing cartwheels before bedtime. And I loved their talk of being uncle and aunt! Very sweet. How awesome. But of course, I am glad to hear he makes good on her nursing of him. I do believe Matthew wasn't quite aware of it and doesn't remember it. It's really hard on us fans to watch Mary do all that self sacrifice work and not get any recognition for it (though I guess that's why it's called self sacrifice). What I like about this is he finds out after they are engaged so we won't have any ridiculous "sense of duty" talk here like he did with Lavinia. Sigh. So good. |
![]() ![]() ![]() A lovely story. My favorite moments in it - 1)the second paragraph, I could sense Matthew's amazement that they are going to marry by the way he has to try all the ways of saying it before he can believe it. 2) Mary telling him how he would read to his niece/nephew. The phrasing for this was perfect and yes everyone loves the person who can read the kids to sleep. :) Is this also a reference to the Dan Stevens' reading of a fairly tale (I can't remember which one)? |
