|Reviews for Angel of Mine|
| Cheile chapter 1 . 9/2
Hello, I'm stopping by from The Room forum for our Reading Rodeo review event. Feel free to stop in, all fandoms welcome :)
The Casteel series is a favorite of mine and you've done an excellent job of fleshing out young Kitty, revealing her painful past that we only got hints of in the books and how and why her affection for Luke blossomed. That she turned to Luke because he was the one person who treated her with any measure of kindness. It's pretty sick how Reva treated Kitty when it came to puberty, believing the superstition that Kitty was some sort of "sinner" because she developed early – ironic how her abuse of her own daughter made her no better than the way she and her friends judged the Casteels and all the other hill families that she and the other townies looked down their noses on.
I particularly like that you have the accents down to a T – all the voices feels very Andrews-esque and makes this story feel more authentic. And I do enjoy the hopeful note that this story ends on as Kitty looks forward to the future that she feels is hers – and yet it feels a bit tragic too, given Kitty's ultimate fate in the series.
Very well done :)

This is such a true story! You really opened my heart toward Kitty, and I hated her! The things you possibly made up, could have really applied to her too! Thumbs up!
