I love how you've written this as quick scenes with only a handful of exchanges between individuals in each. Really reminds you of how the show itself is directed, often times ending scenes with a witty comment not letting certain individuals have the last word. Well done!

I have found DA fanfiction very late - When the last series ended I realized I wanted more. And now I am catching up- This was very good, now I see there is also a sequel for me to read.

Very well written! (Okay, aside from a major contrived plot element of bringing Carlisle back so soon and keeping him at Downton, which, once I suspended my disbelief, I had to admit that you played out reasonably well. :) But otherwise, I *really* enjoyed reading your story, because it's the first bit of Downton Abbey fanfic that I've come across that actually feels like an episode of the show. Your story is well-balanced between the upstairs and downstairs contingents, weaving their lives and actions together seamlessly. Thomas and O'Brien are up to their usual shenanigans. A couple of great Violet lines, and a brief bit of sexy fun between Matthew and Mary, and an interesting way of playing out the Peter Gordon character again. Great final scene, very well described. Overall, very nice work! :)

Gah! Anna was the mole?! That's just not right. At least you wrote Isis into the story to make up for that :-) So Barrow is stealing everything or making copies so that Carlisle can pass them on to Gordon! Love your Author's notes! I'm guessing that the broken arm will come into play and Carson will save the day! I'm glad you think Mary would stick it out with Matthew, b/c I totally agree. I am obviously very caught up in this or I could stop more often to write reviews (sorry). Another scone, please :-D

I LIKED that song (for them)! Well I'm so glad most everyone has been heard from or heard about. Perfect jealous Edith and clueless Daisy! Interesting perspective on Carlisle. AND the fact that she DIDN'T tell Matthew (but every story need drama)! Looking forward to the conversation with Violet and Isobel. This is just really fun to have that "Next" button just ready and waiting.

I like the idea of a complete story, that is LONG! So there is something good to be said for getting here late, I know that you will finish the story (as that's the worst, an unfinished story-well, no, maybe an unhappy ending). I will endeavor NOT to check the ending for happiness. Maybe, if you're still out there, you can warn me if the ending is ANYTHING like S3 (ick)!

I thoroughly enjoyed this story! You have the characters down so well I could easily see most of the things they say actually being in the show, particularly the Dowager Countess's lines. They all made me giggle.

I really, really love this story, and I hope that Mr. Fellowes is as kind as you to our emotions- I don't think I could deal with another big M/M fight, but it's looking that way in Season 3 (D:). I love the style, and the whole plot is just up Violet's avenue!
