Sometimes a leader has to send someone ahead to check things out. Losing agents he's sent ahead is a sad fact of the CEA's job. Good illustration of that.

I love the drabble you created, but I love the concept even more: what happens when one of our (practically perfect) guys makes a fatal error in judgment? Or a correct decision that nonetheless costs lives? Consider making a longer work in the same style.

Nice! Interesting point of view, and Napoleon being called out on the carpet. This has potential for a much longer story.
