...And it makes sense. (As much sense as brilliant insanity ever does.)
| Viviane Renard chapter 1 . 2/25/2013
Great story! Your writing is wonderful, as always. I love how you mix in the supernatural and surreal with the Watchmen universe. You do a great job of describing a changeling from the perspective of someone who slowly realizes that he is indeed a supernatural being. I also liked the little touch with Dan, as it shows how much Adrian longed to find someone to connect with...and yet in the end, he can't bring himself to force that connection (because then it would be false). Instead, he retreats and distances himself from others, leaving him alone in the end, abandoned by both humanity and the fae.

I love the tone of this piece. Beautiful.

You did a great job in writing this up! It wasn't too surprising that Adrian's characterisation strengthened the eerie tone you were going for, and, honestly, I think such a backstory would fit in disturbingly well with Adrian's canon portrayal. I also found the resolution aptly hollow, with Veidt finally realising his humanity, having been denied such an attribute since birth.
I hope you keep writing, assuming the review hasn't put you off altogether. u_u
