The nuances you've developed with the characters are amazing. The portrayals of each and every one is just perfect. I'm a little amazed at how everyone is shown and developed, even though at the heart of it is the development between Naru and Mai. It's certainly nothing I've thought of before, SPR continuing (basically) without Naru (and Lin). A very intriguing thought... of course Mai would run the show.

I was so happy to see John appear! I hope we get a visit from Masako in the future.

I cannot describe how amazing this story is! I feel like if GH was to continue, this is how it should go. Though Mai and Naru were a little surprisingly harsh to each other in the beginning... I was a little surprised. I suppose that's how it goes. For maximum impact when they are able to talk honestly about their feelings later. _

Thanks for writing such a great story! I feel a little inspired to try to write on my story now, though I know it can't be this awesome. Maybe I will just try a little bit.

Just started reading your story, and I can tell this is going to be just awesome amazing. :) I love it already! Love the setup with Mai and Yasu going to Cambridge together. Can't wait to see what happens next..

KYAAAA! Mai KISSED Naru's CHEEK! KYAAAA! Okay, why do I feel like something tremendous just happened? Yeah, because it did! Oh wow.

I love this chapter. More elaboration on Naru's perspective. He is really emotionally challenged, which is ironic given his abilities. But I love how you are slowly making him bridge that. And he was awarded so well by Mai...I'm pretty sure he'd want more where that came from. Hehe.

Did that sound lewd? Oh I hope not! Kyaaaa! But it was so sweet! I just hope Naru doesn't get too jealous when he learns that Mai and Gene are still in contact.

Anyways, I realize I was not able to review your previous chapter...I was just SO busy. And tired. But I love your conclusion of that case. Everything was well explained...it was a full circle. And I love how Mai saved Naru. It must have been agonizing for him to stand back and watch her fight for him. In the end, the trust was really there; I'm pretty sure he could have thrown her back if he didn't trust her to save him. But he didn't resist too well, at least that's how I saw it; somehow, he trusted her to help him, and that means a lot. More points for Mai. And more points for her and Gene's plan because if they do become successful, Mai will be doing a lot more than that in the future; she'll be really Naru's partner, not just romantically but spiritually as well.

This is perhaps my most favourite Ghost Hunt fic right now! Well-written, scary suspension and adorable romance! The story was so scary and so adorable. Two extreme ends! Really awesome!

I usually end up reading each chapter two or more times before I review, and immediately after submitting I think of something else to say. So from the last chapter, I began to wonder if Mai's scars would always burn when she was in close contact with Naru, or if it was something that would go away once Naru was working with her and the powers they share. If not, it might mean Luella is going to have adopted grand kids or Mai is a masochist.

As for this chapter, I really liked how Naru went upstairs to ask if she was OK and to sit with her. I also liked how clueless he remains when it comes to his feelings. I think it is a willful cluelessness, one of those "there are none so blind as those who will not see" things, but its still well done.

I thought his reaction to Martin "taking point" was excellent and I'm glad Martin did take point! I also thought his disappointment when he thought his idea was no longer needed was a nice touch. Overall your insight into Naru's mind and the way you have him growing personally really helps bring your story together.

Luella and the birthday was a good addition to the story that showed part of why it was so important to everyone to cheer Mai up.

The description of Masako and John and the video was perfect. The way everybody ratted out Naru was extremely amusing. The ambush hugs and kiss were an good addition and the last lines of the chapter "I'd better run for it" were perfect in context.

I'm interesting in seeing if you go on to the ceremony at the pond next chapter or if things will move on to a future date. (For some reason that made me think of Naru having to hunt down Mai who is dancing at a bar she went to with Yasu. His reaction in my mind was a lovely example of jealousy and denial, but I digress.) I also want to see when Gene comes back into the picture. Is it another case? Does he talk to Naru, or does Naru manage to get Mai to confess maybe not everything, but more about what is going on? So many things to look forward too!

This was a really fabulous chapter. I loved the Naru and Mai interaction; it was well planned out and lovely. Including the festival in this segment was such a great idea for developing such emotional scenes. Great job!

Naru could be really sweet sometimes. But I wonder when Mai's ex-boyfriend will appear. is he going to show up in this story? Oh, and I'm really curious about the secret between Mai & Gene. I hope you'll reveal that soon ;p
