It was funny when Kate noticed that it was Rick outside her apartment door, fast asleep.

I enjoyed the conversation that Kate had with her neighbor, Mrs. Reynolds. She certainly had a soft side to Rick while he waited for Kate and even offered him some brownies. Thought that was sweet.

Found it funny again when Kate kicked Rick awake and it taking a couple of tries to do so. But when he woke up, he was able to tell her why he was waiting. I thought is great that you had Rick tell Kate that he was fighting for her and his reasons for doing so. I think Kate was flattered by it.

Of course, it all lead to them finally sharing a kiss. Loved how you ended the chapter/story with Kate telling Rick to shut up and do it again.
