Love your take on what happens after they make it back to district 12, and I really like that you wrote from Peeta's perspective. You do a wonderful job of keeping everyone in character. So good!

It's just amazing how coherent all you thg fics are. Different from so many authors, who are all over the place when writing multiple fics in the same fandom, you have a very specific idea of who these characters are. I like how consistent they are. I think it shows how you work with them - very thoughtful, detailed. I like the insight you give to these damaged people - who have survived so much - you make them real in a subtle and beautiful way. How you take advantage of what the canon gave us and work from there - and not around it. I like reading through your stories and finding all these little things that are the same - words, names, facts and descriptions. I agree completely with you view of these characters and universe, how you picture post-Mockingjay Peeta and Katniss comes across so canon it hurts (in a very painful and strangely great way - that's a compliment btw). It's unbelievable how you write an amazing, complete story within 20.000 words without making it look rushed or chopped, just like simple, but powerful glimpses of a lifetime - not what most people would deem as important, but very defining moments. You make them rich in character construction and plot development, and I forget you're not Collins - or are you? Maybe you are, and this is how you spend your free time? If that's the case, please publish these, will you? I look forward to any other thg fic you write. Cheers.

I just love everything you do! I've already read this story 3 times. I find that there's such poignancy in your writing that it really does take me a few reads to fully appreciate it all.

It's always great to read a story from Peeta's POV since we don't know completely how he feels. I mean, he's a pretty open and honest guy, but to have his introspective is nice.

The first thing I searched out after I read the books was for someone to fill in that time between the end and the epilogue. Yours is by far the best that I've read. I'm not surprised. You're fantastic.

I love the slow burn of how they start building there lives together: the first breakfast, the touch of their hands when Peeta has a false memory, and my favorite - Katniss falling asleep on him in the bathroom.

My favorite line, "It just proves how much you love her," she told him, her eyes bright, "that they could make you hate her, but they couldn't make you not love her." I just love that. Even when it happened in the books, I was devestated, but I knew they couldn't make Peeta not love her. It was still inside of him.

They way she brings him out of memories is so beautiful. She's so patient with him. Peeta's fight over the guilt when he's like that is so real. I loved when she kept following him everywhere he went, and she finally admitted it was him she couldn't sleep without. It's one of the things I love most about them - they way they comfort each other.

The painting scene was one of my favorites. I like to see their playful side. I feel like that's one thing that's missing from a lot of the fanfics that I've read. Peeta's playfulness and wit is one of the things I love most about him and that's forgotten a lot of the time.

I'm always interested in Katniss's struggle with becoming like her mom & the depression. I loved that Haymitch helps Peeta understand that sometimes you just have to let it be. I love that Haymitch is still looking after them in his own way. It was a great way to stave off the media, and he's so unapologetic about everything he does. I love that character. You write him well.

The use of the 'real or not real' was spread out so well. Every time he said it, it's a reminder of the fact that he's been through so much. Every little thing is questionable in his mind. My heart breaks for him.

I love the lake scene! Their conversations were so great. Her reassurance for Peeta that she really does want to be with him no matter what the Capitol had planned, and the bickering about his loud walking was a great callback to the book. So great.

The sex scene is pitch perfect. It feels so right and is so head cannon for me. This whole story is, actually. Then there is the toasting. It's so Katniss the way she let him know that she was ready. His reaction was so cute. I got a little misty during the ceremony.

The end scene wraps up the story wonderfully. I love his interaction with the kids.

So I read this last night but couldn't log in to leave a review, so the emotions are not quite the same but if I remember well, I wanted to blame you for needing to redecorate my house because it was ruined with bloody tears :) Now, on a more serious note, I love this, no, I adore this. I love your writing style, your characters weren't even in the least bit OOC, they're so spot-on! The whole story gives me all sorts of feelings! Great! Just amazing!

Wonderful, beautiful story. This is the first pre-epilogue fic I've read in Peeta's POV. Brilliant work. The writing was so well done. And the characterizations are so right on.
