| Aria Breuer chapter 1 . 7/23/2013
Touching, well-written story.
I hadn't realized that about wedding dresses, or at least their origin. I'm glad I learned something new today, then, but also how one shade of blue left Gilraen with a dear memory of Arathorn, her husband. That was a nice way to come full circle towards the end of this story. Of course, one reader/reviewer is right: an item we have - be it clothes, jewelry, etc. - end up with memories that take a life of their own, or something close to what she said.
Well done. I enjoyed reading this story.

Both beautiful and sad, and quite profound.

Liked this short story very much.

Absolutely beautiful! This really resonated with me... I think we all have possessions (clothes, jewellry ect) that we connect with a certain event. They take on a life of their own - and you perfectly captured this with your ficlet.

This was so sad (but happy too at the end!) and beautiful! It brought tears to my eyes. I don't know what else to say really, it's very understated and utterly unpretentious. Wonderful, even though it made my heart hurt a little bit. :) -LOVE-
