Either my mind's been addled by too much fan fiction, or this really is one of the best written stories I've ever read, novels included. It's ambitious, and so doesn't perfectly manage what it's trying for, but what does? It's still the best at what it does do. I'd say 'among' the best, but that would be more of an attempt to cover my butt. Reading the novels of both parts of the crossover is only a big bonus, doing so isn't necessary to enjoy this. The biggest particular complaints I have are that the octopi and the tower are confusing.

I think you've actually managed to create a really powerful Harry who isn't a Mary Sue or all powerful-but rather his power makes sense. Nice.
What are those Giants, anyway? And are/were they doing?
And, of course, how does this connect to Harry's encounters in 'present' day Dresden verse? (for relative meanings of present.)

Interesting story so far, pretty cool. :) I don't really follow Dresden Files, I only remember a few episodes at the start, and only vaguely after so long. Anyway, I'll be looking forward to reading more. :)
