Ah, I was hoping the previous chapters were the prelude to a long story set during Throne of Bhaal :)

Have I ever mentioned how well you capture the intensity of elven love and the sharing of spirits? Well, this is amazing. And I'm so happy for them, they deserved their happily-ever-after, be it peaceful life or continuing fighting for what they believe in.

And I can't imagine Baldur's Gate 3, really. Have you heard the rumors? I can't see how it would be possible after this powersul resolution we got in Throne of Bhaal and all characters, including the protagonist, getting their resolution. Not to mention how powerful Charname is by the end of the game...

The flashback was wonderful - I was rather hoping there'd be a reference to either the fight, or Rain's choice - and you've captured so well the 'other-ness' of Bhaalspawn in their, ah, natural habitat. And the choice that was really no choice, since of course Kivan is what matters.

Beautifully ended - they both seem somewhat more grown-up, and grounded in a future that has true possibilities. The image of the two of them living in the woods made me smile :)

I have no words. Your stories tend to do this to me :) As always, amazing atmosphere and a unique feeling of "elvishness"... A friend once told me that we can't really think like elves for roleplay, but she was wrong, of course, and you manage to do that just fine in your fanfiction, your elves are... well, elves))

The atmosphere here is wonderful - bittersweet and familiar all at once. I'm a sucker for big libraries, so I enjoyed your attention to its detail :D

Rain has evidently grown up so much - the far side of destiny must be a strange place, and the monks' reaction to her, while painful, is so believable. I'm hoping now that the writing of her tale - with Kivan's support - will be just what she might need for closure.

Your sense of character and place is so evocative, and it's lovely to see Rain & Kivan at yet another stage in their lives together - comfortable, teasing, and yet very much in love.

Again little details are so strong - Rain's new tattoo, Kivan's cloak, and that bittersweet undercurrent of coming home one last time.

I liked the beginning description of the Candlekeep environs. :) In general you seem to put a lot of descriptive detail in your stories that can make for a luxurious read! I thought without the adventure plots of the series in action any more in this moment, the extensive descriptions of the characters' true love dragged on a bit-but I guess I do read more for plot tension. The characters' emotional states could have been established in fewer words with less exposition. If you'll pardon me, while your writing is obviously a much higher standard than Meyer's, the long descriptions of Rain's and Kivan's perfections almost made me think of Twilight. I guess I also think extensive public makeouts are a bit obnoxious-but then again, I agree with you that Immy probably wouldn't mind! I thought this was well written. I like clicking on your stories; I know there'll always be some lovely detail and imagery in them.

I'm so glad to see you writing more Rain and Kivan stories! I still love your writings.
