Reviews for Calamity Jane Meets Dr Isles, Medicine Woman |

![]() ![]() ![]() Just read whole story,my eyes are red and sore but it was totally worth it. Thank you... And now onto number 2 |
![]() ![]() Finally read this one! It was definitely a commitment for its length, but I just couldn't set it down. I loved them and their love. I liked their actions. I liked Bass and Jo and the details about what Jane and Maura wore. My guess is that you did your research, which makes me think it's so sad that a doctor wouldn't even know the scientific signs of female arousal. So sad that female sexuality was not treated as anything at all for ages. But yes I loved this story. I liked the slow burn because it made it more realistic to me since they were really in uncharted territory within their own realm of knowledge. And I definitely loved that their first kiss was semi in the rain. I am a sucker for that and I felt that scene was the most beautiful in the whole thing. Thank you again! |
![]() ![]() I definitely recognized it... It was Greta Garbo's line from Queen Christina, one of my favorite Garbo movies. :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() I was almost happy to know I'd be bedridden for a week with an excuse to do nothing but re-read this story. The way you capture these characters so flawlessly with the depth of this story are truly astounding and well worth the length without being overkill. Who needs the show when there are epic tales like this! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I absolutely loved this story. This was a 4.5(out of 5). I eagerly look forward to reading the sequel. |
![]() ![]() This story was uh-mazing! I loved it! I couldn't quit reading it in fact! I read it in bed, on the train to work, and even while I was at work...don't tell my boss. xD Thanks so much for sharing your imagination and this beautiful story with us! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Well you said two years after it's finished, so here I am. I've read and enjoyed a lot of your writing over my time here on ff . net. And I had always seen this story on your list of works. I don't know why it's taken me so long to get around to reading it. I love the Doris Day movie, and I love Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman. I figured this would be something between them both. Probably a combination of every time I saw an update for it or the sequel (which I'll be starting soon), I just wasn't in the right frame of mind for something of this length, or AU, or even this fandom. I figured I'd get to it when the time was right. I'm very glad that I recently started working my way up through your list of stories, and decided that now was the right time to take a jaunt into the Old West! This has been a wonderful story! I would have reviewed before now, but each time I got to the end of the chapter, I just couldn't wait to keep reading the next installment. Thank you for such a great ride, and for sharing your talent and love for all of these characters. BTW, I love Adelaide! I don't think she's very inadvertent of a shipper at all. ;-) |
![]() ![]() ![]() This is still one of my all time favourites. Even better the second time around knowing that at the bottom of the page is that lovely button for the next chapter! |
![]() ![]() I have avoided this fic for awhile, and I must say, I was right to. I have spent the last 48 hours glued to it, both entranced by the plot line and endeared to the subtle insertion of all our favorite Rizzles moments and characters. This might have stolen my weekend, but my god was it fantastic! |
![]() ![]() ![]() FANTASTIC STORY! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Just discovered this and wanted to say, I loved it! I loved that you included scenarios from the show, and you maintained their character arcs, and all the surreptitious movie quotes. It was just plain...well...super! |
![]() ![]() ![]() This story has taken over my life for the past week or so, but I have loved every minute. Words cannot even describe my love for this story... so all I will say is: thank you :-) |
![]() ![]() great story, I was frustrated a bit in the beginning as I was not sure whether they were gonna hook up or not but in the end everything worked out fine so it was worth the wait |
![]() ![]() This was a beautiful story. Thank you so much! |
