Reviews for Calamity Jane Meets Dr Isles, Medicine Woman |

![]() ![]() ![]() I've been meaning to read this one for a long while now, and boy am I glad I did. It only took two days thanks to a snow day. Fifty chapters wow, and the slow burn really worked. I never thought that kiss would ever come, but totally worth the wait. The romance of the rain provided a nice backdrop. The vows were some seriously beautiful sentiments too. This is obviously a huge fan favorite and it deserves all the high praise. I feel like a long gratifying journey has ended, I need some rest. Too bad I'll be diving into part 2. Thank you for the lovely tale. |
![]() ![]() I do enjoy westerns. That's what drew me to this story and the name that you gave your story intrigued me. My favorite western is "Meclintock" staring the late great "John Wayne" Give it a look. You will not not be disappointed. The musical western "Seven Brides For Seven Brothers" is also near and dear to my heart. |
![]() ![]() I just wanted to mention that I was a bit confused in this chapter because Maura doesn't know Jane's last name but she says she's walking through the Rizzoli part of town. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Well you said you'd still like reviews two years down the line so here's mine! This story has ruined my life in the last several days! But in the best way possible of course! I haven't been able to stop reading it and I've been well and truly engrossed in the story. I love your writing and have been shamelessly making my way through all your rizzles fanfic and thoughly enjoying it. I also love your tumblr blog and feel like a right stalker for liking or reblogging a large majority of your posts! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh. My. God. No words can possibly explain what I'm feeling right now. This is...the most amazing story I've ever read! Every. Single. Chapter made me cry. This is such a well-written, amazing story. My friend was right...it does need to be made into a movie. This is by far the most amazing story I've ever laid my eyes on. It's so full of passion and love, and when they would fight...the time they spent separated was never too much or too little. There's not a thing about this story that I would change (expect for the fact that I'd make it into a movie). I love this soooo much! |
![]() ![]() ![]() PH MY GOD THAT IS THE BEAT KISS IN THE HISTORY OF KISSES HOLY SHIT I CANT BRWATH AND IM BAWLING SO MUCH AND I HAVE TO DO THE DISHES DAMN YOU STUPID DIAHES OH MY GOD. I am reading the rest of this book tonight and then getting started on book 2! You're amazing and I love your work! (Excuse my language up there ) |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh my god. When he told her his name, I felt sick to my stomach. Holy freaking shit. Oh my god. I can't imagine how Jane's going to react |
![]() ![]() ![]() Hmmmm... you said something about a gooey movie reference...I'm not sure if I'm right, but if I'm not mistaken, when it says "of that, they were convinced," isn't that from The Notebook? |
![]() ![]() ![]() Queen Christina ;) |
![]() ![]() ![]() I started crying when Jane showed her her hands and told Maura - as best she could - the story... I laughed when Maura said 'ass' and cried happy tears. :) On a more serious note, I feel this was a very important bonding moment that will benefit them in the future, both in their friendship and their relationship. I see that there was a major conflict regarding Jane as far as Maura was concerned. Most writers (immature or not) would have Maura jump right back into the relationship and forgive Jane. I feel that what you did was perfect. It took time for healing, but it happened fast enough. Not too fast, not too slow. The way you portray this story and their conflicts is amazing and very impressive on a professional level. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh my god the whole thing with Jane singing to Sadie... Made me cry. You're an amazing writer. Too bad I have to bake a cake, or I would keep reading. :/ |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh my god that wAs perfection! I loved when she was undressing Maura. I think it's funny about Adelaide's comments about Maura's figure, like her "lovely buttocks" and the fact that "God saw it fit to bestow quite a bust" on her. They made me laugh :) anyways, can't wait to read more.. I am obsessed with this story! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh my god I love it soooooo much. |
![]() ![]() ![]() That's funny! I just recently went to Ruidoso, New Mexico this weekend! Just got back yesterday! We went to Lincoln, NM, which I'm sure you know as the place where Billy the Kid lived :) I had been there before with my dad and step mom, brothers, and my dad's family; we go camping in Ruidoso all the time! But I went with my mom and step dad, and my little brothers. I had already been to Lincoln a few times, but it never bores me! I absolutely hate history with every fiber in me, but for some reason, Willaim Bonney's story fascinates me! I got to see the courthouse that he escaped from, and the exact spots where he shot two cops. If you've studied the story of him, you know that his employer and friend, Tunstall, was also murdered. I saw where he was shot too! In the courthouse, there's a hole in the wall where he shot another officer. Every time I go into the room where he was imprisoned and chained to the floor, I always feel nauseous. It's weird. When my mom was pregnant with my brother, when they went in that room, she felt nauseous. As soon as they got outside, she felt better. Weird right? Anyways, just thought that was cool that you mentioned Billy the Kid, when I had just gotten back :) I must say, if you're interested in the old Western times and Billy the Kid, and you live close to New Mexico, you need to go to Lincoln. It is absolutely beautiful, and the history there is exceptional! Just a few miles outside of Lincoln, in Capitan, there's a Smoky the Bear museum (he's also burried there.) Anyways, sorry for the exceptionally long, boring review. I tend to ramble and get off track, much like Maura... Hope you have a wonderful day/night! I have to go to sleep because I have school tomorrow :/ Bye! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I loooooove it! Can't wait till Rizzles happens! Also, I remember the whole nose thing happening to Jane, and Maura said the same exact thing and fixes Jane's nose, but I can't remember what happened... It wasn't in the very first episode where Frankie elbowed her while playing basketball, was it? |
