Second time reading this since I was 16, 22 now with some life experience I get a lot of the small innuendos. I also have a greater appreciation for the long chapters and brilliant words you strung together beautifully,

Doing my annual reading of this story, one of my all-time favorites

May this story never disappear.
I've been reading it once and again, and again, and again.
I love it so much. I'ts in my heart.
It makes me happy to think that they are living in this bubble where time doesn't pass. This story is the window to watch them, to witness the love that they have for each other, never dying, always growing.

I love this story, and have read this one and the sequel several times!
Though, the only thing that tends to pull me out of it is the timeline.
I don’t suppose you’d ever go back and adjust Jane’s age to match the timeline revealed later in this story and the next.
As Jane is actually 30-31 at this point, and makes her interactions with Maura much more intriguing, as well as her interactions with the rest of the characters.
Especially later on with Garret’s and Angela’s confrontations.

Just finished chapter 16 where Jo got stung by a bee. Killed me to read it. I just lost my own pup who got stung 60 times by a swarm of bees. :((

I almost felt bad for Garrett, he made a bad mistake but a mistake nontheless and Maura didn't give him the time of day when she give Jane a second chance when she did worse to her. Love is such an influence on a person lol but at least Jane try to be better and weirdly, i hope we will see Garrett again, a better Garrett. A Garrett who will become the best friend of Maura like when they were kids, she deserve to have her first friend, her first protector, come back in her life. And i would loooove to see a friednship develop between Garrett and Jane, that would be very fun i am sure ! But that can be possible, only with the Garrett Maura used to know, not the man he become.

Why Frankie didn't ask Jane who this Hoyt was and what he wanted with Jane ? I hope at some point Jane's family will know what Jane did for them.

Jane and Garrett confrontation was great x)

I love this freaking story!

She should have killed him. There is no proof of any of his crime, he won't stay long in jail. He will come back and that mean Maura is in danger, she really should have killed him. Since she had alrealdy killed and thats another time period, life has not the same value and killing someone evil either. Its not like our time, our values are not the same, i really don't understand why she has not killed him.

That she didn't recognized him is expected but his voice ? She wouldn't have forget it. But i will let it pass because i could be wrong event if its seems very unlikely for her to forget it.

The twist about Teresa and Lola was fun, good job !

I am sorry but no. Maura a showgirl ? With her background ? Thats impossible, ad the fact that she can't lie and never play a role, thats waaaay to big of a novelty for her to be credible. I don't like it at all, i don't believe it and that alter the quality of your story. Again you try to fit here a part of the tv show, and like always it took me out of the story but way more here since its literraly not credible with the time period and the character you develop for Maura AND Jane. No matter what, Jane at this point would never accept it. And if you really wanted to made Maura's showgirl being credible, you should have build it up before hand. Thats to much of a leap at this point, even if i totally understand where all that come from for her.

Why made Jane the villain in her fight with Angela when all her point were valid one's ? I see that all in rizzle fanfic, like its normal to make Jane the bad one even when her reaction is normal or when she is the one who is right, i don't get it and that made me quite mad :/
At least in your story it made more sens with the context and even Angela's behavior is more acceptable since its what was expected in this time, strongly expected. And you made her understand at the end what Jane said so, yeah its better. But still that piss me off to see Jane always the one to sick forgiveness. I hope Tommy will be as reliable as Jane with the forgiving he gained when he didn't even show remorse yet.

Btw i like your Garrett, he is nice and honorable man and i am glad you didn't made him a villain just because he is the other love interest of Maura. Lebian fanfic tend to do that more often than not and i see it as a toxic thing to do. Men are not the villain just because they exist. Well thanks for not falling in this trope !
