Reviews for Calamity Jane Meets Dr Isles, Medicine Woman |
---|
![]() ![]() ![]() Just got into reading Rizzoli and Isles stories after my quarantine rewatch. This is only the 2nd story I’ve read for them and I loved it! Starting the sequel next. |
![]() ![]() ![]() That was awesome! Love a good fan fic western |
![]() ![]() ![]() One of the best Rizzles stories I've ever read. Loved every minute of it |
![]() ![]() ![]() I know you wrote this a long time ago but I just read it and I loved it! Did you ever write a sequel? |
![]() ![]() ![]() First I’d like to apologize. I’ve been reading this fic for years, once a year, towards the end of the year and have never left a review. If any fanfiction deserves to be made into a movie it’s this one, no changes necessary. Your writing is great this has to be my favorite fic. I’m glad I came across this wonderful story, thank you. -J |
![]() ![]() ![]() I have just finished this for a second time. While re-reading favorite stories may not be unique in the world of avid readers, it certainly is for me. The only publication I have ever put my mind and heart into more than once is the Holy Bible. You are in excellent company. This work is wonderful. Really. I would love to see this as a miniseries or even the first season of a television show. It is marvelous! I hope we will soon have more queer (not heterosexual) love stories in the mass media. I think we are ready. And, there are enough other characters and side plots to weave it into a lovely tapestry and interpretation of the Old West. I wish I had your gift for scripture (pun intended), but I do not. However, I would love the chance to voice record your work, free of charge. I do speak well and plainly. I can do a few different UK/American/Australian accents as well, should that be desired. Thank you again for sharing this labor of love. Truly, genuinely unique! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Not sure how I never read this before, but just came upon it inna search for something new. It was a blast. Thanks for sharing. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I thought this story had finished awhile ago, when I saw the update. I was pleasantly surprised...glad the story is finished. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I’m a little late to this fandom, and it’s been over seven years since you completed this work... but I’ve just spent the last week glued to my phone reading this story at any time I could spare. It is EPIC! It is truely a masterpiece of creative writing and one of the best fan-fics I’ve ever read! Congratulations! The plot and pacing and characters... amazing! And the whole Western AU... phenomenal! It’s hard to believe that when you wrote those first few chapters you didn’t have the whole elaborate story plotted out in detail, because it is such a perfectly whole and well rounded story. Thank you so much for creating and sharing this piece of work. You have such a gift! Bravo! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Brilliant! So well done, it's obvious that you're a born story teller. Thank you! And now I'm off to the sequel! Terri M. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Hooray! Rizzles at last! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Well dust my boots off! You wrangled and roped me into this epic western and I had to read through...enjoyed every chapter! I've been reading a lot of Rizzles lately, mourning the loss of the show and our lovely ladies, but thanks to writers like you, they come alive again! Pure magic. Thank you! You made it possible that even in this set time period true love will prevail and independent women are beautiful and tough as nails! AMEN! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Ah... Jealous Jane has stepped forward and showed some of her colours. Also some vulnerability in admitting that there is something she is not good at. Dancing of all things. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I can understand why you changed Frank's name to Tom. I dought there was a cowboy named Frank in that time in the west. It must be terrible for Korsak to recall and relive the capture of Jane and his subsequent rescue of her. It is the one thing that he will always remember and regret in his life. I see the gifts that Jane brings to Maura as her unconscious way of showing Maura the love that she feels for her, even being unaware of it herself at this point. She might also feel ashamed of her hands because it is a clear sign that she was weak sometime in her life. But she will share her secrets with Maura in due time. I think she is afraid that once she starts talking about it, the flood gates will open and she will be unable to stop and close them again. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh, this was definitely needed. We had to know how Jane and Frost works together to try and find Stuart, aka Hoyt. The plot has to move forward in order for the story to move forward. Another reason is so that Jane can return to Maura. Give their friendship some space to grow into something more. This is very well written, especially with a very well thought out plot. |
