|Reviews for North Star|
| paulc chapter 26 . 3/14
This is extraordinary writing. The story is extremely well-conceived and paced (absolutely vital) and there are no discordant notes in the character's 'voices'. The background characters are given flesh and the subplots are expounded but aren't allowed to to be too intrusive to the main narrative.
I feel 'safe' letting you tell me this story (nothing to do with the elements of tension in the plot), none of it is a chore to read, and I want the story to continue; I want to find out what happens next.

I love this fic!
| Mary chapter 26 . 1/6
Although I am not A FAN of earth's destruction , this story is intriguing and well thought out. Excellent multiple plots. I am enjoying this. Please finish?!
| Guest chapter 26 . 12/25/2013
story is good but to slow and this section 31 bullshit is annoying and wasteful as well a Terra Prime or whatever its called cant remember rubbish
| Putaro chapter 26 . 7/23/2013
The intro really made me feel the heat. The underground shops and passageways make a lot of sense and give a nice feel to Shi'Kahr. Although I know much of the situation should be the same as in the series, I'm getting a different feel and I'm looking forward to some surprises.

Finally time to read this new chapter. I really like the North Star-setting, so it took me a couple of minutes to get use to the Vulcan atmosphere. I was disappointed that Trip and T'Pol were seperated, after all the struggle Trip had to go with T'Pol to Vulcan and looking forward to their adverture on Vulcan together, but Trip's musing and the communication through the bond made up for that. I have mixed feelings about Koss, he was so eager to marry T'Pol and I am not sure I can trust him with leaving T'Pol without a fight and if he really can help to find her mother. Nice cliffie! Hope you update soon.

Great intro for Trip to Vulcan. He really seems to be in trouble now. I hope at least it's cooler down there. And I'm really curious now about Koss.
| SavanaSahara chapter 26 . 7/14/2013
I really was so happy to see this update. Great take on Koss. Oh why did you leave it at such a cliffhanger?! More soon please as I really love your stories!

You've done a marvelous job of making Trip's visit to Vulcan come alive. The heat, the dehydration, the business district under ground, the stupidity of placing twin pools in front of the Earth embassy on a planet like Vulcan.
Koss' conversation with T'Pol was very interesting. I was a little surprised that she told him that she was bonded to a Human, but then maybe she didn't want there to be any possible misunderstandings between the two of them. I hope that Koss proves worthy of her trust.
And what a surprise - Trip is barely on the planet and walks he into another disastrous situation. Trouble certainly does follow him. You've come up with anther terrific cliffhanger! I can't wait for the next chapter!

Very nice wedding! It's nice to see Archer assuming more responsibility for overseeing the development of the new colony. And I certainly don't envy Hess her job; she's going to have to be a diplomat, mediator, engineer, dowser and farmer all rolled into one.
The waltz at the end was lovely. But then it's always best to enjoy the lull before the storm. Pleasant memories can be very valuable in times of tribulation.
Very well done, as always!
| Asso chapter 26 . 7/11/2013
A chapter of passage, I think. At least it seems to me.
I look forward to see what will happen.
Only ... please be patient ... is it really necessary to have to deal with Koss?
Well, I have to admit: I do not hold out much sympathy for him, and, frankly, I'm not very pleased that T'Pol feels honored to what he says to her.
But, you know: I tend to be a bit radical in this regard.

Oh, joy! I was ever so happy to find your updates and greedily devoured the last three chapters.
I already like this version of "The Forge" much better than canon. I'm especially happy that Archer won't be there stealing precious scene time, even though it means no Captain Trip to the rescue.
Congrats on your book!

Well, we are finally on Vulcan. As with the rest of your story so far, I am very interested to see how you twist and turn the events that we are familiar with.
I'm certainly glad that Trip was that far underground. I assume that was the embassy bombing. I hope you stay motivated to update this story. I can't wait to see where you are going to take us on this Vulcan adventure.
I do like how civilized T'Pol and Koss are with each other. We know that he was a stand-up guy in the Vulcan Arc, so I intend to trust him...until you give me reason not to!
I do hope at some point T'Les and Trip have a face to face. So much potential there!
| LoyaulteMeLie chapter 26 . 7/10/2013
Oh, no. It all seemed to be going so well ... I daresay I should have been warned by that!
Nothing is EVER straightforward for Trip!
| V'Kotik chapter 26 . 7/10/2013
So glad to see another chapter so soon. Wow, what an evil cliffhanger at the end, although I'm not quite sure - unless it is a vulcan-quake - why would the VHC target the Embassy. Maybe for the same reasons we saw on screen? Very mysterious.
I found T'Pol's quick trust in Koss a bit risky. Either her training as a spy makes her an expert at gauging trust or she may have been a wee bit careless in that moment.
