Reviews for We Go Anywhere But To The Ground
Eileithyia Kayseri chapter 1 . 2/2/2012
This is ... wow ... amazing. So very sad. I love the fact that it's not a - Yeah Sherlocks back and everythings instantly back to normal perfect in every way fic - cause that's just not realistic when people write John as so broken when he thinks Sherlock is dead and so I love that things take time to fix because it would take time, and as someone who has gone through a devastating loss it always irks me that people put it so lightly the though of a scenario like this...it would be really hard for things to go back to before. You wrote John as having nightmares and being surprised when he turned around and saw Sherlock sometimes and I think that's exactly how it would be cause the fear of them not really being there would last a long time as would the amazement that they are really truly with you. Dispute things not being a perfect at the end of the story and they still have a ways to go it felt complete. Sorry needed to get that out. Anyway I really enjoyed reading it and I'll probably read it a few more times cause it really is a lovely story.

It has been a long time since I've reviewed any story - nothing seemed good enough to leave a message of appreciation - but oh my God.

This had me tearing up all through the time I was reading it - your capability to convey emotion is astounding.

I wish more writers on this website had your talent.

Please write more.
Jodi2011 chapter 1 . 2/2/2012
Beautifully written, harrowing, tense, on the edge of my seat through it all. I really thought John was done-for a few times.

I thought this would be a quick one-shot but it is marvellously long. I am hugely relieved as if this was a multi-chapter fic I wouldn't have been able to stand the strain of waiting for more.

Please keep writing, love your style :)

mymuseandi chapter 1 . 2/2/2012
I come from reading this on AO3 because I don't have an account there, but I wanted to tell you how beautiful this story is. It is not overly sentimental, yet it manages to convey John's grief and Sherlock's realisation and how many things stood between the way to happiness. And I love how you say that things aren't perfect between them because I don't think they'll ever be, but whatever they have is perfection in itself.

Great job. Beautiful story.

You get all the internet cookies and jam and jumpers you can take because this was amazing.
ForeverOdd chapter 1 . 2/1/2012
I truly lack the adequate words to tell you how amazing this was. If it were actually possible I would start a petition among Sherlockians to have Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss turn this into Series 3. Not just the first episode. The whole damn series. I would demand it. Every Sherlockian must read this and they must all bow and weep at your feet. I'm am literally sitting here right now with tears just streaming down my face. Most beautiful, emotional thing ever. Absolute brilliance.
SherlocksCheekbones chapter 1 . 2/1/2012
Jesus bloody Christ woman, I have a life to get on with but I couldn't. Here I thought to myself: Oh yay, a one-shot that will serve as respite from my tedious homework. BUT, I find myself half an hour (or more-I've lost track of time) later hunched over my keyboard, mouth dry, eyes wide, and my index finger cramped because I keep tapping the scrolling wheel every few seconds.

Everything about this story is utterly flawless. The writing is fantastic, the emotion is palpable, the characters are dead-on (Mycroft, my God!), and overall, I think Mark Gatiss would shift incessantly in his chair like a fangirl if he read this, just like I have... I've added this to my favourites and will surely read it again.

Brilliant! [/keyboard smash goes here]
IsleofSkye chapter 1 . 2/1/2012
Absolutely phenomenal. This was perfect.
Boringname chapter 1 . 2/1/2012
I just wanted to say that this is probably one of the best Sherlock stories I have read; just so thought out and the characterization is just amazing. I am happy to have been the first to send a review. It was just such amazing writing that I can't think of any other word to describe it other than amazing!
