Reviews for Promises of a Wandering Hero |
---|
![]() ![]() Ok even though I said I wouldn't I did anyway. But after reading this chapter, the whole situation seems fine to me. How over dramatic... This isn't an "Open relationship" nor is it "Cheating". It's just a "Friends with Benefits" deal. So what was that whole rant on the last chapter for? Why did I go on and on about an open relationship and love being separate from sex? - because I just did, that isn't your fault in the slightest. Anyways, every damn review about the situation is wrong then. There's no real relationship to begin with. She doesn't really love him anymore but is familiar enough with him to sleep with him because she probably loved him once before. Makes sense that she'd be comfortable with him as a partner. Still not reading the rest of this. I was just curious about this relation ship between Rin and Shirou that sparked such heat. Turned out, it was over jack shit nothin'. |
![]() ![]() Okay so reading this A/N cleared a few things I guess... But I don't understand where Rin, Rider, and Sakura being sockets for Shirou's cock comes from. Or the "Double Standards" thing. I'm not fond of harems but I am very aware that Shirou is known as a harem protagonist. I was under the impression this was going to be a light hearted harem fanfic with a spoon of angst. I would have read it solely for Shirou, since I find him and his future counterpart the most interesting characters in the franchise. But then you started throwing sex, open relationships, double standards, and sexism. Most of which feel like very ignorant points to make when you consider that not everyone is familiar with open relationships or generally comfortable with the idea. Otherwise you'd see more of it in media and no one would be complaining about it. I imagine you are someone who separates love and sex. "Sex is just for pleasure" "There doesn't need to be any feelings involved." Which is something I can understand. But it just isn't for me. As well as other people I guess. Open relationships are a can of worms that tend to over complicate things. For me, what's normal is if I fall in love with someone, I'm ready to give them every part of me. Heart and body. To me, that just makes sense. So naturally for someone like me, seeing someone actively looking to give their body to someone else while loving another looks weird. But I won't judge. I try not to at least. I don't know this Emiya Shirou of yours. Is he a man hoe that sticks his dick in every chick he meets? Is that why they're in a open relationship? Does he love Rin, Sakura, and Rider? Or is he emotionally detached? Doesn't feel anything big for anyone or anything? He just goes with the flow and girls seem to flock to him? Unfortunately, I won't be reading this to find out since its seems to be discontinued and the premise seems to be centered around sex... |
![]() ![]() So there's an open relationship? Between Rin, Sakura, and Shirou? Medusa, sure I guess, why would she hold any romantic feelings for Shirou or Rin right? But Rin and Sakura, who seem to love Shirou, seeking out other dudes seems strange to me. Why is that it's like that here? I'd read to see,.but the other reviews make it seem like the reasoning is dumb and it's just cuckoldry... Which I'm not a fan of really. Unless is their relationship purely physical? There's no love between them anymore? If that's the case, why not just split them up and not mention it again? Ahh~ so confusing and I haven't even started reading. What a conundrum this is. I'll just leave this here and find something else... |
![]() ![]() Motoko...what kind of messed up logic is that!? |
![]() ![]() ![]() Author gets told Cuckshit is bad. Author throws a hissy fit. Story dies. A tale as old as time. |
![]() ![]() There's no arguing with haters. Admire what was written due to it's premise and content, and remember that this isn't canon. Double standards suck, but unfortunately, not a lot can be done about them. When a guy drinks a lot, he's a partier. When a girl does, she's a lush. A guy bounces from date to date and scores, he's virile. A woman does the same, she's a slut. And for all we know, there could be situations previously described where everything works out. Not high odds, but the world is a big place. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I love this story 3rd time reading it through wish more of it was out there |
![]() ![]() ![]() Thank you for the chapter. It was good to see the resolution of the Kyoko arc. Poor Shirou always has to deal with some heavy shit. |
![]() ![]() ![]() This is a nice chapter. Ilya got to give the girls a better look at Shirou and they got to see some of the lengths he would go to for those he cares for, beyond what he did for Motoko. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Bwhaa haa haa. That is all. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Knowing that that's the type of relationship they're in, it does unfortunately kill my desire to want to continue reading this story, though it's seriously one of my favorites. After going back to chapter 17, and reading it knowing this, I can see where you foreshadowed this type of thing. When I originally read it, I kind of thought Rin was just calling it that to get Shirou to agree to it, not actually living it out. I also can't see Shirou, Rin, or Sakura actually sleeping with random people. Rider, I dont know enough about to really know. I guess what's most confusing is the fact they initiated the relationship in the first place, then want to sleep with random people. Why not just continue being friends with him instead of getting him to agree to an open relationship? I think Shirou would have been fine just being friends. It seemed like his arm was kind of twisted into agreeing to it in the first place. So many different routes that could have been taken man, but regardless, I enjoyed the story. Thank you for it. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I'm not gonna bother addressing the tantrum the author has thrown for the obvious and expected hate he was gonna get for involving Shirou in an open relationship, no matter the justification. In a small way its our fault for missing that little bit when Rin first meets Haruka. But there is nothing realistic about an open relationship. That is unless you consider something that fails 99% of the time realistic. Most open relationship are initiated by women, usually against the boyfriends or husbands wishes, long after the initial relationship started. Women ask for an open relationship because either they are already cheating on their partner and want to justify it, or they've found someone they want to cheat with and looking for permission, in other words they not love their man. Men very rarely ask for an open relationship, and the ones that usually do, do it at the very start of the relationship and those that accept to open up their relationship do it because they fear losing their girlfriend or wife and this almost always torments them with the fact that they are not good enough to meet their girls wants, especially in the bedroom. If the woman is the one who opens up the relationship a few things usually happen. If the woman likes one of her hookups, breaks it off with her partner and joins the new one. Stays with the boyfriend or husband, but the man will be absolutely miserable. One of the most obvious signs that these types of relationships are usually something women do because they do not think that their partner will have any success is if the boyfriend or husband starts seeing a few women, the original woman will start feeling jealous and insecure even if she herself is hooking up and will usually ask to close the relationship again. If the man closes the relationship, he can now never be sure that his girl will continue seeing who she was before or new people without his knowledge, in other words cheating. Realistically, as soon as a woman asks her man for an open relationship, that relationship is over. I cannot take anything Rin or Rider say about their relationship with Shirou as serious, because no woman, no matter how casual the relationship is, will ever suggest an open relationship if she is in love with her man. Shirou should not even call them his girlfriends, that implies certain levels of commitment that they are not showing him, they are at best f buddies. |
![]() ![]() Well, you're right at least about people having double standards. That part's correct - it's the "supporting open relationships" part in the first place that makes you a true libcuck lmao |
![]() ![]() Also, contagious STDS are a thing you know; the more people you have sex with, the more likely you are to get infected and infect others. And when lots of people have lots of sex with other people... Well, just look at Africa's STDS pandemics, lmao |
![]() ![]() lmao what a libcuck you are |
