Thumbs up. Great little vignette.
| Lasgalendil chapter 1 . 10/23/2013
"And yet the poor little rich boy whose parents were brutally murdered before his very eyes has become part of the lore of the city. It is an image that Gotham cannot forget, the young boy standing terrified and alone in an alley; for that, they will forgive him anything."
I usually don't read short stories, but I'm so glad I gave this one a chance. That line from your summary intrigued me, and this fic is beautiful in it's shortness. It really feels...like myth? Legend? Your prose is almost poetic. Even the way Rachel says Gotham. We get the feeling that this Gotham is a place full of history and secrets and sorrow. Well done.
