This was so sad but truly amazing at the same time! The characterisation of Lysa was very accurate. I enjoyed it very much.

Wow, this was excellent! So well-written, with interesting nuances in the characterisation. I want to hate Lysa, but this makes me sympathise with her so much - forever in the shadow of the older sister she loves and hates out of jealousy.

you got Lysa's character perfectly, and in the end you left me close to tears. it's hard to say if she's half mad or barely sane, and you make us feel it truly feel it, during our reading. it's like falling from the moon's door right into her soul.

This was beautiful and very well written, and I like how it all flowed together very neatly. You gave some really good insight on what might have gone on in Lysa's head. Well, this was certainly thought-provoking! It made me realize that, through all of Catelyn's sorrows in the books themselves, you never really stop to think about Lysa's sorrows that happened pre-books. It stands to reason that she should feel jealous of Cat, and you did an amazing job of portraying that. Very nice!

This fic made my day! Cat is my favorite, and I have so many feelings for the whole Riverrun set. Lysa has such an unfortunate life, and I do feel a great deal of sympathy for her. I love that you captured both her resentment of and her love for her sister. It's a complicated dynamic that too often gets relegated to total jealousy/evil on Lysa's part even though it seems clear that Lysa loves Cat. I'm glad you included Jaime; that was the point in the books where I truly felt that poor Lysa couldn't win with anyone. It is her simultaneous blessing and curse that she looks so much like Cat. In some ways, her life would've been easier if they were more different. Instead, she is like a pale shadow of her more impressive in every way sister. The pre-wedding night bit was also wonderful. I liked how Lysa was able to recognize that her sister had lost something, too, and how that bonded them.

My favorite section was number five. Lysa's envy makes so much sense here-of course, Cat would end up with a loving husband and numerous healthy children while Lysa was stuck with the elderly Jon Arryn and multiple miscarriages/stillbirths. You were pitch perfect with Lysa wishing her sister dead, then regretting it, and feeling simultaneously relieved and disappointed when she was okay the next morning. You wove Petyr in well throughout the story, which is crucial given Lysa's obsession with him, which interestingly parallels Petyr's obsession with Cat.

Clearly, I adored this story. Your writing is neat, clear, and evocative and your grasp of character is tremendous. I would love to read more vignettes from this story. I would also love to read a Cat-centric story from you!
