Reviews for Spies and Nerds |
---|
![]() ![]() ![]() Score one for the authors. You two are very progressive having Devon get the bedroom - never happen in real life. Liked the interleaving of Big Mike and Casey with the doughnuts. |
![]() ![]() ![]() OK You won me over, now I can see that it's all done for comic effect. I almost spat out my tea when Devon (I thought he was going to work out through dinner:-)) admitted that Lizzie was a six year old high schooler. The CIA is obviously a lot easier to get along with in this AU, all that angst about "if I get re-assigned I'll never see you again. The CIA will not let me come back." certainly doesn't apply here. And we finally answered the oft asked FF and canon question "if I didn't have the intersect would you have ever taken a second look?" ahh NO. Unless you count being manipulated into it after two years. I know it's mean but when Ellie says " I'm ready Devon let's get married" I kinda want Devon to say "not sure El ask me again in seven years". Although that takes it easy on her because she has a date rather than a never ending failure to commit. Very clever putting Carina on the team because at least Devon doesn't have to worry about Ellie having to do seduction missions, unless a particular mark has a brunette fetish. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Wow this Ellie is a real peach. When Chuck was in the spy life he tried his best to keep it away from her. Now that Ellie is the intersect she is setting him up as a mark, constantly bringing spy life to his place of work and is even more meddling than usual. Even Devon has been strung along for seven years. I suppose there had to be differences in how the alpha of the Bartowski family adapted to having the intersect rather than neurotic, insecure BABY brother. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Please don't tell me this is it? Six years on, I guess we will never know how the story unfolds and ends, shame, I was really enjoying this. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Got it, I cheated by reading a few reviews, so Violet and Chuck are from a Frea story, so unless I read that on I might not know who the mother is, so this story involves a mixture of two stories, I'll shut up now and carry on reading. Megan I already know is adorable, so I'll have to read the other story involving Chuck and Violet, soon. I will review this chapter, along with the others at the end. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Ok, Good chapters, different, this story is slightly related to the SOM, in that, Ellie and Devon's kids are named and Chuck is the uncle, cool, but Chuck has a daughter named Violet but not with Sarah, I guess I will just have to read on to find out who the mother is. So this story is based on Stephen reading a story to the two girls, about Ellie, Carina and Casey and then adding other agents including Sarah Walker. Am I right or way off base? |
![]() ![]() I laughed way too hard at the whole underwear conversation. So good! All of it is so amazing. :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() I miss this story! AND the improbable combination of the young cousins... |
![]() ![]() ![]() Okay, the steak tar-TARDIS legitimately made my entire weekend. I freaking love nerds. And the song, and R2's beep boop beep boop...and imagining Chuck singing it on top of a table. I can't handle you guys writing together. It makes me too happy. That being said, please write some more. :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() This is brimming with amazingness. Miranda Lawson, Star Trek, Jack Sparrow even. I'm dying. You guys are...I can't even...words... I need to read the next chapter. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oooooh this is juicy. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I love that subtle thing you guys do with them cutting off their swear words, alluding to the fact that Stephen is reading the story to little girls. It's got a Princess Bride feel to it, how you're pulling the narration/storytelling aspect into the plot. Kind of brilliant. Also the Carina and Casey banter is perfect. |
![]() ![]() ![]() This is amazing. I'm so excited for the next chapter! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Okay first of all, I had a fangirl attack when you said the convention is in Riverside because I was born and raised in Riverside. In fact, that's where I'm sitting at this very moment. And it cracks me up that Chuck mentioned it. Sarah's right though, it's mostly smog. And the Mission Inn. I kinda like it though. Not the smog. But Riverside... Anyways, the image of Devon using the Shake Weight is forever imprinted into my brain so thanks for that. Now every time I think of him, that's what I'll see. And I'll start the whole laughing at random moments in public thing. But that's fine. ;) P.S. This is a brilliant idea and you're executing it wonderfully, both of you! Very enjoyable! |
![]() ![]() ![]() This is funny! Is it on hiatus? Would love to see how you're going to wrap it all up! |
