I’ve just finished chapter 1. I liked it well enough to decide to read to the end, but I have a number of quibbles. Not about the writing skills or the storyline but the underlying mindset of the writer. This is not a complaint or an insult, but you described a family going into debt over having to pay for, amongst other things, expensive medicine. Not in the UK, these costs are all covered by the NHS. That near bankruptcy due to medical expenses is a purely American phenomenon, I believe. Before you disagree, I’d like to tell you I know this, from the UK side, through personal experience, as my mother died from cancer, but my family did not face huge medical debts. It doesn't work like that, here, and in almost all other advanced nations, I believe it is the same.

All that said, I’m looking forward to reading the rest of your story...

I love this so much I can’t put it into words. AhHhhh! A good!dursleys story that makes sense and honestly changed the way I’ll look at their characters for good; it was incredibly well written and I enjoyed following immensely! Narcissa always struck me as the motherly type so I was over the moon when It happened- and even happier in a strange manner, as you had written such excitement that I had utterly forgotten Sev had snatched it to begin with, and that somehow made it all the more satisfying. This one’s going in my favourites list for sure!
