|Reviews for Separation of Church and State|
| nixer chapter 1 . 6/20/2012
Ha cool. Not sure about that last bit - a bit too fluffy - but loved the earlier stuff. Don't you just hate them for denying us anything like this? I don't see why, except time pressure. Castle saved Beckett. She would just have brushed it off. But we would get to see it. Also, as EVERY fan pointed out, this would have come very close to killing them, and even if it didn't kill them there would have been long term recovery consequences. It was cold out. It was winter. The Hudson is filthy, freezing cold water. It would have been a Big Deal.

Oh.. Behind the eight ball with this one. But I still loved it :)

I can't say I entirely get the church and state thing... I see that church is the significant/good answer, but I only understand why through analysis. Church/religion is voluntary? Church can be associated with marriage? Trust me, it's probably just a reference I'm missing, not something on your end. Just saying.
I like this. I didn't even realize that we didn't get to see them hatin' life after. I was too distracted by Espo's AWESOME LINE. Had to wait this long to read this because I saved Pandora until Linchpin was on so I wouldn't have to wait.

I feel cold. I want to tremble. I'm on the southern hemisphere, and it's over 32ºC outside. Ain't you good.
| nicbec75 chapter 1 . 2/20/2012
Ok, so now I have such high hopes for Linchpin! LOL There's just something about the two of them clinging to each other almost frozen that makes for a great Caskett moment :)
| baterista9 chapter 1 . 2/18/2012
:-). 'nuff said.
| Deb838 chapter 1 . 2/17/2012
The narrative was so good, I actually found myself shivering while I was reading, and I'm in balmy summer heat in Melbourne Australia at the moment, lol
| Copop chapter 1 . 2/17/2012
Woah. Intense. Love it.
| keystothecastle chapter 1 . 2/17/2012
That ending was so elegant, so telling, so true. I feel like a stuck record when I review your stories. I need a large thesaurus of superlatives only.
| dtrekker chapter 1 . 2/15/2012
When I started reading this one, all I could say was: huh?
But as I went on, I was clearly up for a great time (between revenge and criminal minds. He he) you are so good at this angst slowly turned into hope and quickly building into...something else? ...a beginning, a promise, in two words, a chezchucles fic!
Way to turn this darn "to be continued" in a: geez!...if only!
| Topsy chapter 1 . 2/15/2012
"Yeah." But he can't. He's encased in ice. Worse than last year, this is a wet cold, leached into his veins and running like freeon through his heart. Every breath an agony. – I love this.
"Working with Lanie. Don't make her find your frozen carcass-" – Hahaha.
He breaks his knee to bend it, breaks his body to lean over her, hunched. – I love this, how he keeps “breaking” his bones just to move. Good stuff.
She starts shivering now; relief pours through him like hot water. Her teeth chatter, her body vibrating with it against his. He helps her get her wet coat off, finds he's shivering uncontrollably now too, feels the burn of warmth leaking back into his thighs, his armpits, his knees. – Love this, too.
"Tiger didn't get us. We're not dying of hypothermia after all this," he says, and starts pushing on her, nudging her around, trying to get her moving for the warehouse. — Haha.
He takes a long, gasping breath and blinks through the black that tunnels into his vision. Kate is clutching him now and he looks over at her, sees the flame of panic licking her eyes. – Oh my goodness!
"Gonna at least - at least be standing - for this. Girlfriend to the rescue. Damn it." – Hahahah.
A spasm wracks her body and a jolt of the van causes her to fall against him. She can't struggle up fast enough, but feels her knee, her hip, her shoulder come into contact with his. Sudden flares of heat that break open the icy grip on her muscles. – Awesome.
She curls up tighter and tilts her head back against the side of the van, then goes ahead, gives up, lets herself stay leaning against him too. – Yay for giving up!
"You're the church, Kate." – AMAZING!

Do you know how these little One Shots and Two shots feed our minds with wonder?
| changingoceantides chapter 1 . 2/15/2012
Thank you so much for writing this. It's going to help tide me over til next week:)

The things your stories do to me!
I *loved* Pandora and can't wait for Linchpin. Whilst I know I'm going to love it (I always love the 2 parters), I doubt it will leave me as satisfied as this. :)
For a short story, you took me on a hell of a ride and I still have little shivers (difficult to do in an Australian summer!)
Thank you, yet again, for sharing your brilliance Xx
| Fictional Mind chapter 1 . 2/15/2012
AMAZING *_* Okay, now I'm even more excited about next week's episode *_*
Seriously, though. This is so brilliantly written. I started shivering myself reading it. Fanstastic writing!
