Wow this is a lot more interesting than I expected :) Beautiful, I love it.
| goddessa39 chapter 5 . 5/27/2017
I loved chapters 1-4, and though this bit was well written I think it just ruined the others for me.

I wouldn't have believed anyone could pull this description off, but that was gorgeous!
| Guest chapter 1 . 5/27/2017
Very well done and accurate!
| Guest chapter 2 . 5/27/2017
That was funny and unexpected, and those were great deductions too! You have all the characters' dialogue perfectly suited to them; I can hear it clearly in their voices.
| Linda-Nairika chapter 4 . 2/18/2016
An interesting introspection, thank you! And I like the idea about natural disasters. :)
However, I keep wondering, where the idea that Mycroft is more intelligent than Sherlock has come from: there is no such statement in the texts by ACD. What Holmes *does* say is exactly as follows, "Mycroft has better powers of observation than I" and "I said that he was my superior in observation and deduction". No more, no less.

Brilliant comparison IMO of the Holmes brothers to natural disasters, and John Watson as a furry (but no less deadly) teddy bear. I have some problems with the characterization, though. I don't think Sherlock will call in Mycroft for one of his cases just for an owed favour, it rather defeats the purpose of things. He likes to figure things out on his own, it's part of all the fun. Also, how you (John) define Moriarty feels...hasty and inaccurate. There are some definite parallels there that could be drawn, instead of classifying everything about him as part of a "poor mimicry". He has a childish streak, but he is dangerous, too, and far from the idiotic and insecure portrayal in here.

This is a great story, I love how you've set up all of the characters; you're absolutely right about how each of them is.
I'd love to see your perception of Lestrade, Mary, and Molly-maybe you could do a few more chapters or a different story examining them?
