| How-not-to-do-something chapter 1 . 2/18
I consider myself nonviolent, but when somebody deserves it, well, spare the rod and all that.
Hmm, bit strong on the allusions to the girl with the dragon tatoo. You didnt actually need to point out the different POVs, a couple details that wouldve cleared up who it was would've sufficed.
Regardless, very well written and you have my approval.

I can imagine Mr. Gold doing likeways even if the Dildo thing was really a bit too much.
Not even a 'dark side Emma' could do sth like that..
Anyway, thx for sharing

I am not a Regina hater; in fact I'm quite the opposite, but that doesn't stop me from liking this story. It is well written and I prefer it to the scene in The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. I know Regina wouldn't really do that to Henry and Emma might not do that to anyone, but its a great story nontheless.

This was very good. And i actually could see Emma doing this after the hard life she's had.

To be honest, I have only seen one episode of this series (the Jiminy Cricket one. I have an interest in the series, just no T.V.) so I don't know much about the characters at all. However, I will say this: While Regina seemed nasty, stuck-up, and possessive over Henry, she did not seem like the type to physically abuse him, but actually seemed concerned over his well being. (Perhaps a good thing to remember is that even the worst human beings are capable of good impulses, and vice versa.)
I saw her as a "repressive" (step) mother, not an "abusive" (step) mother. She might take away her son's freedom, and psychologically try to reining him in, but would she actually hit him? And even if she would, would she really hit him with a whip? Be careful of giving characters extra flaws and then punishing them for the non-canon flaws you have heaped on them. I can accept that Regina is a bitch (I didn't like her in the episode I saw) but that doesn't make her a child abuser.
However, if she is an abusive step mother and treats him horribly, and I just didn't see those scenes, then this fic is completely called for and I have nothing to say but, "Yeah! Take that!"
Oh, and the writing style is great. By the way, do you know where I can watch episodes of this series online?

Well, the story itself is way too dark for my taste. However, leaving that aside for the moment, your writing skills are improving. Your tale is engaging and flows logically and easily.
You are using, very naturally, a 3rd person omniscient point of view. When using a narrator like that to tell a tale it isn't necessary to inform the reader which point of view is being employed during the story. Keep writing, Steven! With practice like this one day you will be an even more impressive author.
