|Reviews for Mandragora|
| Lady Rosalune chapter 1 . 11/29
Fascinating concept and very well executed!
| Menodara chapter 1 . 7/7/2022
I love the quotes you chose.
| Thomas Riddle chapter 1 . 6/30/2022
So well-written and so true that they seem so sentient, yet Sprout talks about chopping them up like it's nothing!
| Guest chapter 1 . 5/7/2022
This was good, no shying away or half assed attempt to pretty up the act.
| veelamusic chapter 1 . 4/28/2022
Disturbing but I love the idea of old hobbit mandrakes haha
("-rumours which said that mandrakes that got too old and went to seed would fashion themselves flannel trousers and smoke pipes carved out of sticks")
| LJ Summers chapter 1 . 3/8/2021
Lovely quotes. I admire the variety of sources tapped. And how you sketched out the characteristics of the mandragora root over the course of this one-shot. Contrasted appropriately with Pomona—a jolly woman, Head of Hufflepuff, by the holies—in her pink (Umbridge?) earmuffs and shiny, shiny knife...
And even though we know where it's going, your ending it abrupt and horrid and exactly as it should have been.
| VashonBeader chapter 1 . 2/8/2021
I am quite chilled. Wonderfully done. Nice quotes add to the entire experience.
I need a hug...
| Pygmy Hippo chapter 1 . 12/20/2020
Dang... that was really good! Never really thought about it... now really want to see Mandrakes in the wild living it up. Thanks for sharing!
| Not Horribly Depressing chapter 1 . 9/11/2020
Well that was really fucking sad :(
| BionicD0LPH1N chapter 1 . 7/10/2020
Wow that ending was so powerful. Nice short story.
| Kawisdom chapter 1 . 6/14/2020
Beautifully disturbing. Mandrakes as sentient beings, although I suppose that, even if they guessed, wizards wouldn't care much. Mandrakes are just too useful to stop using.
| Always A Dragon chapter 1 . 1/24/2020
Well that was terrifying.
| SolarSolstice chapter 1 . 1/19/2020
| Polydicta chapter 1 . 12/12/2019
Brilliant ... but nasty.
| Guest chapter 1 . 12/1/2019
