Reviews for Mandragora |

![]() ![]() ![]() Fascinating concept and very well executed! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I love the quotes you chose. |
![]() ![]() So well-written and so true that they seem so sentient, yet Sprout talks about chopping them up like it's nothing! |
![]() ![]() This was good, no shying away or half assed attempt to pretty up the act. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Disturbing but I love the idea of old hobbit mandrakes haha ("-rumours which said that mandrakes that got too old and went to seed would fashion themselves flannel trousers and smoke pipes carved out of sticks") |
![]() ![]() ![]() Creepy. Lovely quotes. I admire the variety of sources tapped. And how you sketched out the characteristics of the mandragora root over the course of this one-shot. Contrasted appropriately with Pomona—a jolly woman, Head of Hufflepuff, by the holies—in her pink (Umbridge?) earmuffs and shiny, shiny knife... Malignant, really. And even though we know where it's going, your ending it abrupt and horrid and exactly as it should have been. Awesome job. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I am quite chilled. Wonderfully done. Nice quotes add to the entire experience. I need a hug... |
![]() ![]() ![]() Dang... that was really good! Never really thought about it... now really want to see Mandrakes in the wild living it up. Thanks for sharing! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Well that was really fucking sad :( |
![]() ![]() ![]() Wow that ending was so powerful. Nice short story. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Beautifully disturbing. Mandrakes as sentient beings, although I suppose that, even if they guessed, wizards wouldn't care much. Mandrakes are just too useful to stop using. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Well that was terrifying. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Well damn. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Nasty ... Brilliant ... but nasty. |
![]() ![]() bruh. |
