Rasgnarok chapter 72 . 1/16/2019 It's been 30 seconds since I finished your Dragonrend, Myrielle. I'll need a moment to compose myself, dry my tears and finally publish the comment you deserve. Thank you. Thank you for making me relive my passion for reading, for fantasy, for love and longing, for friends lost and adventures ended. With all the love these 4 years have brought me for Freyja, Alduin, Shadowmere, Sanguine... and you, goodbye - until we see eachother again. |
KnellaLuna chapter 72 . 1/6/2019 Beautiful story! You had me completely enthralled and inspired! You had me laughing and crying and you humanized Alduin in such a perfect way. The way you wrote these two characters from mortal enemies to lovers was truly masterful and completely believable. I can only dream to achieve your level of writing! I only wish we knew what happened with Freyja's soul at the end. I guess I will have to use my imagination! Thank you for sharing this amazing adventure with us! |
aaron.gouveia87 chapter 72 . 1/4/2019 Wonderful story to read! |
Lacey Darling chapter 72 . 1/2/2019 Okay, wow. Just wow. This story was so good - I loved it so much. I finished reading it a couple days ago but had too many feels to respond. I think I started reading this story when it had 40 chapters? So I haven't been here the whole time, but I haven't stopped loving it all the same. You explored and expounded upon so much and made me care for the characters like they were my own babies (especially Shadowmere, you cruel person, you), and I can't believe it's all come to an end but I'm so glad to have been on this journey with you and Freyja and Alduin. This story will always have a special place in my heart and I'll probably be rereading it sometime soon. Also, you've got a fan. I would love to read any original content you end up publishing, so please do keep us all updated! I'm sure I'm not the only one, haha. Anyway, thank you - from the bottom of my heart - for all the effort you put into this story. As bittersweet as it is, I'm so happy to have finally reached the end. Everything about it was simply wonderful, and you've helped me get through years of my own writing - especially now. I only write fanfiction to practice for publishing my own work, so the fact that you're doing the same is awesome. Good luck with your novel! I'll be looking forward to hearing about it. |
Vixelthefox chapter 72 . 12/30/2018 I’ve reviewed once, under another name, but it never felt like the right time to do such a thing before or following the singular instance. But now... now that everything is said and done, and the I have followed this journey til it’s end, I must say that this had become my favorite fan fiction. When I found it, you had only 44 chapters and I will admit that the summary made me dismiss it. I’ve been around the fan fic block, and sometimes well-intentioned Human!character plots have little merit to them. Basically, I’ve seen some shit when it comes to turning creatures human and vice-versa. So, I passed it up for a handful of weeks, rolling around in your Ondolemar writings because I adore him. But they were quick, and my eyes read so speedily through them that in a blink I was left wanting something more. I decided that your writing skills were impressive and that I did like the stuff I had read thus far, that I would dip my toes into Dragonrend with the promise of ‘if anything gets too funky, you can always just stop reading and never deal with it again’. It had been the best possible thing I could have ever done. I’ve read this story multiple times, and enthusiastically talked about it to anyone who would listen (most of them rolled their eyes at me, but whatevs, bruh!), and remained as enthralled with the progression as I had been that very first time through. I checked DAILY for updates. I’ve laughed... I certainly cried when Alduin left Freyja on the mountain, which I had been reading in the break room at work, only to come back with tears because ow, my heart. This story has been like a lifeline for me in a way. My go-to when I am fighting my own demons and I am not sure I can continue, I remember this story and I dive in head first once more. I just want to say thank you. Thank you for writing this, thank you for taking a world I have loved since I was a pre-teen standing on a table outside Gnisis, perfectly lining myself up to cups and plates and bowls, pretending I was a Breton tavern owner serving food and drink, and thank you for putting a spin on it that I challenge any world-builder to take note of. I don’t know you, and I may never meet you, but I love you. I love your soul and I love your heart, and I am sure that if I ever saw it, I would love your face like a long lost sister or childhood friend. I look forward to seeing the world you give us in the future, and the journey that only those pages can provide. |
Cheesecake244351 chapter 72 . 12/29/2018 What an incredible ride from start to finish. One of the most enjoyable stories I have read and continue to reread. This is my first time commenting on this story so I would like to give my thanks for giving us this wonderful story and congratulations on finishing it. I can see that the ending is very open ended so if you ever decide to make that sequel then I would read that as well, no doubt about it, seeing Freyja and Alduin's on a brand new journey would be wonderful with the occasional tag alongs of Odahviing, Durnehviir, and Paarthurnax. Wish there were more interactions with the dragons, having all five of them there would have made for some interesting moments. Hope you make a one-shot of sorts, were Alduin regains his true form alongside a dragon Freyja, who is finally free of Sithis and the Night Mother, living their immortal lives. Only problem I see in this scenario is that it would signify the end of the world, due to Alduin being the World Eater and all. Thanks for this story, And I will patiently wait for your next announcement. |
xXxjfreed21xXX chapter 72 . 12/28/2018 I'm very upset this is the last chapter. this chapter and story are great. |
Ragez chapter 72 . 12/26/2018 A fantastic epilogue, trying the threads of all the major plot points together while sending our lovely couple off for another adventure! The quasi-sex scene was, as always, delightfully tantalizing~ I'm really happy that I'd managed to become a sort of inspiration for you! Let it be known that no matter what you decide to write next, I'll be following it and you for certain: You've a talent for all the various different kinds of storywriting, and I'd love to see where you go next! Thank you for all the effort and dedication you've put into completing this story. Your muse has done you well, and I should hope that you continue to nurture it for all your days~ Amazing work, incredible work, astounding work: You've brightened up the days of so very many with these 72 chapters, and no amount of praise will ever be able to express how thankful we are, and what an amazing tale you've weaved. Thank you for creating a better Skyrim, Myrielle. |
HermitWitch chapter 72 . 12/22/2018 Welp, you've done it. You've killed me. I wasn't even expecting Freyja's backstory, that is a very welcome surprise! For some reason her home makes me think of this little alchemist shack that's nestled in a valley that I always come across trying to wind my way around the Throat of the World. I can't quite remember where it is, but possibly the Falkreath area? Man, even I was exhausted when the Dark Brotherhood showed up. I'm like...just bugger off already! I guess Shadowmere couldn't stay forever, poor Freyja. Then comes Alduin. It's all so right! He may be a changed man but the dragon is the same, that much is clear by how intense he is about his treasure. :)))))) His singular treasure of a particularly intoxicating feminine nature. It is not good for a man to be alone, hehe. I will keep this story in my alerts so that I know what you are up to. I will also keep my eyes open on Tumblr, though I'm still watching to see what happens with their new flagging rules. Good on them looking out for my tender sensibilities, lest I see a titty. The horror! So, you're just gonna leave us hanging there with that tantalizing ending eh? *Vaultboy what the fuck meme* Really though, I think it's awesome. This has been a memorable and amazing story that I will always think of fondly and come back to re-read from time to time, as I do with my favorites. I'm even writing a Skyrim fanfic, though I don't dare publish a word of it until it's complete. I can't bear the pressure, plus what if I want to go back and edit something. It could never be as amazing as yours but it's pretty fun, I have to say! I will stop rambling now. MERRY CHRISTMAS and job well done! I can't wait to read you original fiction, I'll be first in line! |
Lindr chapter 72 . 12/22/2018 Wow, just wow. What an ending! Im speechless in wake of the emotional rollarcoaster that i was just on. I feel so bittersweet but overfull. Its been an amazing journey and thank you for everything! |
3elizabeth chapter 72 . 12/22/2018 I finished this massive amazing story! Fortunately for me I never had to wait for the last chapter! I had. I idea what I was getting into, but I enjoyed every moment of it. I never imagined Alduin and Dragonborn being a couple, but this story made me wish it actually happened. Alduin is great and Freyja is amazing and I love all the scenes where they’re together. |
YourNanOnAFiretruck chapter 72 . 12/22/2018 Very Cool |
UNSC Kawakaze chapter 72 . 12/22/2018 so Alduin didn't give up his initially, did he? also, with an ending like that, you KNOW we won't let you not come back to thisAfter your novel of course. .And they finally got to do the deed, too. it was what, 40 chapters or so since they came close? that said, excellent. just excellent. |
Azhi D chapter 72 . 12/21/2018 I'll miss this story. Is one of the best fan ficción I've ever read. |
KashiPup chapter 72 . 12/21/2018 That was amazing! I laughed hysterically at Sanguine, felt heavyhearted at Shadowmere, nearly cried at Freyja's pain while Alduin tried to comfort her, giggled at their playfulness at the end... it was one hell of a ride! That final piece though... it feels like a cliffhanger, like there could be more, but sadly there's not, which makes me SO MAD! Why'd you do that to us?! But thank you for writing an amazing story! It's actually given me some ideas for my Elder Scrolls stories and given me some much needed inspiration to stick with my storywriting. So thank you for all your hours of joy and pain as you and your Muse worked tirelessly at completing this! I am curious to read some of your original work, so when it's complete I will look forward to reading it. Thank you so much, Myrielle! _ |
