Sephaya chapter 4 . 3/17/2012 That was a lot of fun. Thanks! |
Random Lurker chapter 3 . 3/17/2012 I must have read this story 3 times by now. Love everything, especially in the last chapter where Sherlock is bleeding and all three (Sherlock, Lestrade and Hudson) automatically yell out JOHN. I really hope you let Cooper and Sherlock meet at some point. I love your John btw. cuz he is really very smart when he is out from under Sherlock's shadow. Mycroft chose the best! I also loved your Molly. She is so cool in the ambulance. Always watch out for the quiet ones. I think she even managed to surprise Sherlock. Lestrade is pretty awesome too, and I like Erik's cameo. LOL - Sherlock has a minion... ...hey maybe Molly and Cooper could end up together? When is the next chapter out? |
Silverspeare chapter 3 . 3/16/2012 Oh my, this is just PERFECT! Never in my life, i've read such well written, exciting and fascinating fanfiction. This is a masterpiece, and you may not believe it, but this made my day. The story, the plot, the characters, the development, EVERYTHING is just perfect! God, you're an amazing creature for writing such a delightful story! Please, please, PLEASE update soon :D |
Nonimouse chapter 3 . 3/15/2012 Oh this is just so hilarious! I love Mycroft. He is such a cool older brother and he has a big squishy soft spot for John as well. I guess he will never allow John to be separated from Sherlock again. It's bad for the country. LOL. |

Deb chapter 3 . 3/13/2012 I just came back to reread this for the fourth time because it's so wonderful. I absolutely adore your characterization of John. He's solid, loyal, smart as anything, and oh so good at what he does. I love it. (And love his modesty in letting Mycroft lecture him there at the end without pointing out that the reason he did all those things was to save Cooper's life.) Sherlock's attempts at non-John distractions are all hilarious and wonderful. I so very much want more! (And, I said I hope Cooper ends up at Baker Street with milk at some point? I do, I really do, but I hope Sherlock doesn't hold John's being shot against him.) |
PeersHitInMoscow chapter 3 . 3/12/2012 I lovee this storryyyy! Can't wait for the 4th chapter! I love how you have both Watson and Sherlock being badasses! I also love that you gave dialogue separate lines from each other, because conversations mushed into one paragraph were a bit confusing. But this is awesome and I can't wait! |
chaynah1 chapter 2 . 3/12/2012 Oh. mygod. SO hilarious. I just keep picturing the whole Tescos scene. And laughing more. :D :D :D |
No Account chapter 2 . 3/12/2012 Brilliant. Seriously, one of the best fanfics I've read, and I've read thousands. The image of the woman hitting Sherlock over the head with bread had me laughing out loud. |
dissentingopinion chapter 3 . 3/12/2012 Wow - your characterisation is perfect - a joy to read thank you! It's nice to see John out from under S's shadow too - When I said 'characterisation is perfect' I actually mean you wrote J in a far more interesting way than Moffat/Gatiss - much as I love shipping Shwatson he's kinda a little bit dull in the show - unlikely Sherlock wouldn't get bored - bet Martin Freeman would appreciate you doing the scripting... Lestrade dialogue absolutely spot-on! Gleeful to read and you do a good job of describing the world through Sherlock's eyes. Was so involved I almost youtubed 'Milk arrest london tesco'... until I remembered it's fanfic? Update soon! |
Anonymous chapter 3 . 3/12/2012 You have done an excellent job with this story. Everyone else knows that Sherlock is missing John but he won't actually admit it. Humor is hard to write but these incidents I can see happening with Sherlock. They are over the top and normal people wouldn't get into them but each sequence logically leads to the next when suddenly Sherlock is in a deep mess. Who doesn't get annoyed at a person in the beginning of the line in a grocery store when they are complaining about a price and they are clearly wrong while you just want to get out with a couple of items? Probably everyone has dreamed of doing something like Sherlock does here. And someone would be there w/ a phone to video the whole thing. You do a good job of showing that John is not a bumbling slow thinker as sometimes is portrayed. Sherlock wouldn't tolerate him if he was that slow, no matter how many times he calls John names. You usually can't become a doctor if you are stupid. It is just that in comparison to the Holmes brothers, everyone else seems slow. John shows his intelligence by figuring out the culprit and subtlety providing info to Cooper, if he was involved in the plot, which he would be missed and it would be quickly detected. His quick thinking was shown in sending off the report when he get the emergency call and giving the hint to Cooper where the gun was. Molly gets a good showing here as well, not just a simpering, infatuated woman whose brain goes away when her object of affection is around. She might have been scared at first but adjusted to the situation and without her I doubt Sherlock could have gotten the body away. Molly shows unexpected depths by acting calm enough to hijack the body and not acting suspicious or even scared that the other bad men would show up any second. I love her comment about being arrested for street racing. It shows her spirit. Though, the way she drove you aren't sure if it that is true or not, at least from Sherlock's pov. One disconnect for me is Mycroft's order of a security detail (if I remember right) for John. He couldn't really do what he was there for if John had guards standing around him all the time. However, John's protection doesn't seem to be close enough to protect him when Mycroft believed the culprits where an inside job. They should have been able to act as soon as John was moving in a vehicle out of headquarters and either trailed behind him at a reasonable distance or do something else if John was to be treated as royalty. Mycroft can't control everything, it just seems that he didn't live up to his orders. |
Prothoe chapter 3 . 3/12/2012 Absolutely funny, exciting, in character ... in short: one of the best fics I ever read! Really:) Could even imagine this as an episode on TV! And as h/c is my favourite genre (especially with a sick/injured Sherlock and a caring John), I hope that you put plenty of it in the next chapter;) Please update soon! |
Alanna chapter 3 . 3/12/2012 You have true talent! Loving this fic. Please update soon :0) |
Miseria-Veritas chapter 3 . 3/11/2012 In the interest of full disclosure, I will describe how I read this story. The first reaction was mild interest, mainly because the summary was kinda blah and I wasn't feeling it at the time. An hour later (at 1 AM, local time), I was sprawled on my couch while pinching my nose shut and keeping my other hand clamped over my mouth in an attempt to stifle the (frankly embarrassing) squeaks of laughter that insisted on punching through anyway. Laughter is so stinkin' loud, especially at 1:30 in the morning. I highly doubt my roommates would appreciate the disruption of finding my passed-out-from-accidentally-smothering-myself-in-a-fruitless-bid-to-keep-squeaks-from-becoming-roars body in the morning. But seriously, this has been one of the most enjoyable stories I have read in a LOOOONG time - and I read a great deal. Thank you for extending my life another 49 years (isn't that what laughter is supposed to do, or am I mixing that with dog years somehow?), and I very much look forward to the next chapter. |
TheConsultingTimeLord chapter 3 . 3/11/2012 Well. This is very, very, good. It's funny, suspensful, and sweet at the same time. I'm really looking forward to the next chapter! |
