|Reviews for Sacrifice: Incredible Hulk 1982 Series Conclusion|
| Tracy Corns chapter 1 . 2/6
This is great! It is the conclusion that I would have liked to see. I agree completely that the Creature was like a confused, bewildered child. As an emotional teenager in the eighties, I have cried at David and Jack's attempts to find meaning in their lives. Recently, watching the re-runs on the Horror channel, I have cried the same tears and been taken back to my youth. I too was disappointed when the series was so suddenly cancelled for no obvious reason. I was mortified when the gorgeous Bill Bixby died in 1993. It was the end of the hulk for me. Your story conveys the strength of the relationship between the Creature and Jack McGee. I have really enjoyed reading it. Thank you so much for the memories.

This is amazing! Well done.
| Alden R. Davis chapter 1 . 12/23/2013
It's a 100% perfect fan-made story, it's a sampler of the Death of the Incredible Hulk. It's too bad that Jack McGee didn't remain for the Trial of the Incredible Hulk (1989) and the Death of the Incredible Hulk (1990).

Wow! That was beautiful! Well done! I loved the ending. So sad and poignant, and yet so fitting for the man whose life was a living hell for 5 years. They should have ended the series like this, much better than the Death of The Incredible Hulk.

I loved the way you wrote this fic it was GREAT!
I am so glad you decided to allow Jack and David to be friends, because from my point of view Jack saw David as a friend, and he was my favorite character, I also found it annoying when they created close calls.
But you did it excellently, the only part that wasn't good was where David died, :( It was good that he saved Jack but he didn't have to die, they should have been able to find a cure then David and Jack could have won.

all I can say is... WOW.
I've recently been watching the Incredible Hulk reruns (haven't watched it since i was a kid) and I've gotten sooo sucked into this show. You handled this 'ending' perfectly and I love how you made Mcgee David's friend. Great job (even though i know you wrote this a while ago!)

I stumbled onto this fic while searching online for a copy of "The Trial of Jack McGee" script and I must say that, despite the fact that it is a story synopsis rather than an actual script or story, you really managed to capture the feel of the television show. I have often pondered the many ways the show could have ended, and I tip my hat to your effort here.
It is a real shame that Jack McGee was not developed more during the series. If it were to be re-booted or re-made as a more modern series (with longer story arcs and fewer stand alone episodes) his character would be a much more important player (at least in my fantasy remake!)...though finding an actor to play David Banner with the same gentle angst as the great Bill Bixby would be as difficult as McGee's attempts to quit smoking.

Aside from David dying, this is a very good encapsulation of what a series finale could have been like. (I'm a sucker for happy endings, what can I say?) I especially love the irony at the end of Act IV - David Banner testifying to set free the man who had been chasing him for five years!
Like I said, the only thing I might have done differently is having David live and cure himself of his affliction. But all in all, very good work - you did a good job of sticking to the series format.
| Mrs.Phineas Bogg chapter 1 . 2/29/2012
Hello! I would read this because the majority of my favorite shows go back twenty-thirty years! :D And I've written a few hulk fics myself. This is a very well-thought out and well-written script outline. (I never realized there was an unfinished script floating around. cool.) Touching and exciting in parts, just as the show. I would love to see it written as a full fan-fic story to get a better emotional involvement, because there is a lot of great stuff happening here. Just a correction-The show actually ended in 1982, not 79. It had a 5 season run-well, the 5th season was abruptly cut with no closure as you said.
I think there should have been some kind of closure or stand-off between David and McGee, if not in the show itself, then at least in the telemovies. That was a shame. My ultimate ending would have David getting cured..not dying. :( But your ending was powerful too. Good job on your first work. It can be stressful, but fun once you get into a writing groove.
