To each their own, eh? Yes, they would all have their particular view, but hopefully by journey's end, they better understand the other views of things.

Darkover chapter 10 . 4/16/2012
Dear Linda: I've just finished reading these four most recent chapters. "How Green is My Valley" was beautifully written: very descriptive, and very typical of Faramir's conscientiousness and courage. Like Faramir, I was glad that King Elessar gave the new Steward Ithilien as his princedom-and the King probably did not act just out of fairness or generosity, because who could develop Ithilien better than Faramir and Eowyn? "The Choice," truthfully, was not one of my favorites. After I read it, I found myself thinking: "And...?" It just seemed to tell the readers something we already knew, without elaborating on it, or making us feel much emotion. Not bad, just not as good as we are used to receiving from you-and just my opinion. With "Reflections in the Night" you did a fine job of meeting the challenge as you portrayed a triumphant but very weary Aragorn. He has lost much and gained much, all in one day and all from the same causes. Very well done! "The Price to Pay" was perhaps the best of all, because a lot of fan fiction has been devoted-understandably-to the obstacles overcome, and the sacrifices made, by Aragorn in his quest to become King, but not enough fiction has been devoted to Arwen, her POV, or the sacrifices she made. This most recent chapter was quite moving and very well written. As alwasy, thank you for writing and posting these stories. Sincerely, Darkover

JuliaAurelia chapter 7 . 4/16/2012
I loved the father and son moment, and the description of Ithilien was very beautiful
Deandra chapter 7 . 4/15/2012
Very nice how Faramir explained it to his son, but also showed it to him.

One thing:

...Faramir was ever conscientious about visiting those of his men who had survived the war, but had been permanently maimed as well as the families of those who had not returned from battle. - I THINK I would add a comma after "maimed" as the sentence would flow better and make more sense
Darkover chapter 6 . 3/13/2012
Dear Linda: I loved both these chapters! You have considerable skill at packing a lot of story into just a few words. The conclusion of the "greed is good" chapter made me laugh out loud, and admire Aragorn at the same time. No wonder the man is such a great king, since he can explain away anything! "The Queen Speaks" was noble and inspiring. Arwen clearly aquitted herself well-although I would expect no less from the granddaughter of Galadriel! And I was equally pleased that she received Aragorn's support. Clearly theirs is a real partnership as well as a profound love affair. Thank you for writing and posting these chapters. Take care. Sincerely, Darkover

LOL! How could they possibly argue with 3000 years of experience!

Deandra chapter 5 . 3/12/2012
Well, I think he managed to worm his way out of that faux paux! Lucky there was such a tradition to back him up.
