| Miss Hearth chapter 5 . 1/9/2013
Sorry if I am too frank, but your vision of Batman and Catwoman is very wrong.
He's not so irresponsible as to let her do justice by his own hand, and free his own sense of guilt.
Moreover, Catwoman (in comics) has the code of not killing, silmilar to Batman.
A girl raped is a crime of extreme violence that should never happen, but that situation will never lead to the edge, to Batman, or Catwoman.
They have seen things much more horrific and their minds are lucid and stable.
You have an erroneous perception of the characters,

I'm sorry. I couldn't be bothered to read this past the first chapter. As much as I understand you trying to make a situation that sends Bruce over the edge- this isn't it, and thus you're breaking character. As sick as it is, a raped 11 year old girl is nothing new in Gotham and nothing Bruce hasn't had to deal with with the myriad of terrible villains he fights on a daily basis. I mean, his super villains include a psychopathic clown that has and will do anything to send batman over the edge, a half-crocodile creature that EATS people, a schitzophrenic serial rapist and murderer, a man who kills because he thinks god's telling him too, a multiple personality villain who's alter ego comes up with the most brutal methods of torturing and killing his victims, etc. Need I go on? Batman's seen some sick shit. As much as an 11 year old raped girl would effect us, it simply isn't enough to destroy batman after what he's been through, even if it'd make him enraged. You simply put too much overt emotion into a subtle character and for that, your fic is ill-concieved. I suggest you spend more time studying on these characters before you write.

Just read your story and I loved it it showed how batman does consider killing how he can't stand it when men act like that and how he always buries his evil deeds. Cute ending also I hope I can write one of my stories like that.
| Duchess of Decorum chapter 5 . 3/29/2012
Wow, that was such a beautiful ending, I'm really happy Batman didn't kill him, it wouldn't have been the right thing to do. Catwoman on the hand it was something she would would do and you showed that perfectly. You showed how much emotions play into role of justice and whether you do or don't think it's fair. Debating about the moral decisions. This isn't a story I'd normally read however this had been a great short story, you've had me gripped all the way through :'D
What a beautiful ending :')
| Robin's Wife chapter 5 . 3/28/2012
The way you ended it was great. I like how you did have Catwoman kill the man instead of leaving him alive. Alot of people don't have Catwoman kill, and others have her her kill but in a wrong way. She killed for justice and that was a good thing to see. Catwoman's note to Batman put alot of thoughts into perspective, over all i'd recomend this sotry to alot of people. I look foward to reading more of your sotries.

Yes it does need both, we don't have to like, aid, or support them but they are needed
| Duchess of Decorum chapter 4 . 3/27/2012
Another great chapter which I throughtly enjoyed, it's hard for Batman to see soemthign so upsetting and he can't do anything about it, the guilt he must feel must be terrible :/
I think what Bruce did was great for that family and I hope the girl can get better and accept life :(
| Robin's Wife chapter 4 . 3/26/2012
I only have one little thing to say, Batman saids the little girl was ten, but in your summery you say the girl was eleven. i just wanted that to come to your attention.
This chapter elabortaed on Batman's self stuggle, this is very serious story and has aa deeper meaning. You can't say that Batman is bad ofr consedering to kill the man but you can't say it's good either. I'd highly recomend this to alot of people.
keep up the fantatic work

I was under the impression that Selina didn't know Bruce Waynebatman...
Other than that... Great chapter in terms of the dilemma that bats faces on a nightly basis... To kill or not to kill that is the question...
| anon chapter 4 . 3/26/2012
Look the issue is threat level I'm sorry but that's how it is even someone as smart as Bruce is going to make a mistake on average thugs and sometimes cops go undercover
| Duchess of Decorum chapter 3 . 3/24/2012
Poor Batman, the trouble he must be feeling must be weighing him down a lot, and to see something so troubling must have affected him badly. The way you write troubled Batman is atonishing, I adore it :'D
I hope you carry on this story as you've got so much folloiwng through :D

When you take the law into your own hands you always run the risk of becoming as bad or even worse than the evil you seek to destroy even the world's greatest geniuses make mistakes sometimes
| Guest chapter 2 . 3/14/2012

Well no one gets it worse in prison than child molestors
I will consent that it is part of human psychology, yes you could turn a railway and sacrifice one person to save five people but throwing that person in front of a train to save five people is much harder, like I said people hire soldiers and cops and emergency personell and politicians to act as judge, jury, lawman etc so they don't have to use moral courage themselves
BUT, this is the kind of thing that makes what Bats does worse than killing by psychologically crippling the people so they can't take care of themselves and unnecessarily fascistic, oh I'll give them child molestors, crime lords, psycho mass murderers, thugs too stupid to understand anything else, and in comic bookland the living breathing weapons of mass destruction, but they can be so smug you understand the likes of Lex Luthor and Maxwell Lord being provoked into the likes dropping an atom bomb on Gotham to kill Bats
Anarchy only leaves us at the mercy of every thug and psychopath
That said even the world's greatest geniuses make mistakes sometimes it's not always about corruption or neglect or even incompetence not every tragedy is a crime sometimes the greatest good for the greatest number just means the least amount of suffering these are decisions that our leaders sometimes have to make
