![]() ![]() ![]() But if this is canon... There may be hope. |
![]() ![]() ![]() You've written him with quite a biting wit. Loved him being sorry for the preachers big words. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Love that the men eat first. What a difference a 100 years makes! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Happy to see he's considering staying for her. Her farm it's just sitting there waiting to be worked by their new family. |
![]() ![]() ![]() The hand always ends up on the boob. It's instinct. :-P |
![]() ![]() "Beneath the glory taleā¦the sorry tale, is a woman's story. Beneath it, there we are, a quiet army, the deadliest, I fear. Most don't know. For we do not need the accolades of praise. How fleeting such a thing. We do not polish our attack or make a speech. We do not wave our swords or brandish muskets. The knife is in before you know it's in our hand. And so we turn the tide." I think I came looking for this bit without really knowing what was lacking. Thank you for sharing stories that inspire and entertain. Xoxo, Mel |
![]() ![]() What can I say except I love this man. His outrage had my heartbreaking and me screen capping and sending it off to the mr to assuage my guilt at swooning for another. Lol xoxo Mel |
![]() ![]() I forgot how powerful this chapter was. And just how strong and bold this Bella is. I'm in awe of the strength she displays in being so honest about what she wants and what she fears. I'm thoroughly enjoying getting to take my time with the developments this second time around. Happy Wednesday, Mel |
![]() ![]() I'm revisiting pureness this morning. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I so thoroughly enjoyed this fic. Can't believe I never read it before now. It was sweet, sassy and heartbreaking and I enjoyed every minute of it! |
![]() ![]() ![]() This is a remarkable work. You are so gifted (and, evidently, prolific!) I wondered many times while readings this how you came by your ease with the language and vocabulary of 150 years ago, with history and events, lifestyles and customs, and even knowledge of "horseflesh". I know I will reread this one someday (but I would be happier to see it on a shelf at my local bookstore), but I'm going to move on to another of your stories now. Just wanted to let you know how deeply this story affected me; it is etched in my mind as though I watched it on film. Thank you! Suzy |
![]() ![]() As with your other stories that I have read, I love these characters. Wonderful story, and thank you for writing. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Just read the story through. Loved it! |
![]() ![]() ![]() what a wonderful story. Pat yourself on the back. Not many this good. I loved every bit of it. |
![]() ![]() ![]() What a hard chapter to read and write I bet. Beautiful and very emotional. I am teary eyed reading this. |
