I like Kate. I find her believable and very 3-dimensional considering there have only been three chapters. The beginning of Sherlock's relationship with her feels very real. Sherlock stopping by to get input from her, turning into evenings out at the pub, ostensibly to celebrate the first time... It's very believable.

Wowie, this is brilliant:) I love your attention to details. Can I get advice on how you write the deductions? I always have trouble with that.

Oh my Holy Holmes! What a brilliant story! It has been a pleasure reading about Kate and Sherlock - you've done a fantastic job with writing him and your OC is well constructed, as well as suited, to being with Sherlock. Mycroft's little ploy, brilliant. John's responses to everything both Sherlock, Kate and Mycroft, exactly what I would of expected from dear Dr Watson. I extend to you my gratitude and appreciation in regards to you having spent time and effort with this story, as well as for sharing this. Thank you!

I love this chapter so much! Do you mind making different scenarios of The Scotland Yard meeting Sherlock's girlfriend? It doesn't nessasarily have to be Kate or anything, but I think it would be cool and you could do it pretty easily.
Thanks! And great chapter!

Well, this chapter Kate acts more like I would have expected her to act after hearing Mycroft's revelations. The flaking out emotionally and refusing to talk to Sherlock was just a silly thing to do. Sure Kate can "read" people fairly well, so presumably she'd believe Mycroft was, more or less, being honest with her as he saw things. But why would she automatically believe his assessment of Sherlock, a person she'd already been around intimately for weeks? And then not only believe Mycroft's assessment, at least enough to get quite over-wrought about it, but also stop talking to Sherlock?
Anyway, in this chapter, she returns to acting like a sensible intelligent person, which is a relief.

I've read your story about Sherlock at age 16 and really enjoyed it, as well as your story surrounding HLV. So I thought I'd give this series a try. It's well written, and I'll definitely keep reading. But this woman Kate - wow. How does she make this decision to end everything, going all weepy and super emotional, refusing to talk to Sherlock, etc., all because Mycroft tells her that Sherlock has used drugs and has issues with mental illness? I mean she couldn't talk to Sherlock first, before she decided it was best to end it? Oh, yes, I can see that John is talking her into having a discussion with Sherlock. But why did she need someone to talk her into it? I mean, how easily manipulated is she, after all? A couple of conversations with Mycroft, who she doesn't even know, and she's not talking to Sherlock? She immediately believes whatever this guy she doesn't know tells her, and rejects the guy she's supposed to be in love with? Super wishy-washy girl. It does make me wonder how she could possibly be actually good for Sherlock, if she's that emotionally upset - she hasn't even experienced any of Sherlock's emotional ups and downs. Just hearing them mentioned and she falls apart. I mean, she's kind of proving Mycroft's point - that she's not really up to the reality of Sherlock.
Okay, I assume she gets better since obviously the series continues. But I am so loosing any respect for her. Hopefully, you'll be able to make it believable that a person who fell apart over Mycroft just mentioning that Sherlock has mental health issues will be good for Sherlock when any of his issues actually present themselves.
